James's POV

I didn't know how today was going to turn out. I knew I shouldn't have told the guys about me and Riley, but I didn't like them talking bad about my girl either. Although, I may have given them the ammo to do that anyway.

"Hey, what's wrong? Your being really quiet." Riley says, touching my arm as I drive to school.

"Nothing, I'm good." I reply.

"Since we're not going to prom Friday night, maybe we should do something together that night instead. After all, everyone else will be there." She says.

"Yeah, what do you have in mind?" I ask.

"Well, maybe we can just spend the night together...Alone." She says in a low voice. She reaches over, caressing my cheek and giving me slow, long kiss on the cheek. She kisses the corner of my mouth, my jawline, and down my neck. Shivers went up my spine, as I let out a moan.

"Riles, can you stop please baby? The last thing I want now is to go off the road." I tell her. She giggles.

"Sorry." She replies. "But what do you think about Friday night?"

It was hard to think of Friday night. I'm supposed to break up with Riley Friday night.

"Um, maybe. I'll think about it." I reply.

"Oh, okay." She replies, sounding embarrassed.

"You okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, it's just that I didn't think that you would have to think about it." She replies quietly. I swallow a lump in my throat.

"Ri, it's not that I don't want to do that again. I mean, I loved Saturday night. It was amazing, and I couldn't ask for any other girl to do it with, and believe me, I would love to do it again. But I just got some stuff on my mind right now." I tell her. She nods.

"Okay." She says softly.

••••••••••

I leaned back against my locker, talking to West and Eldon. Stephanie and Michelle were at some meeting for the cheerleaders, and Riley was talking to one of her teachers, but I expected her to be back any minute. And just on cue, I seen her walking towards us.

"Hey." She said cheerfully, giving me a big hug.

"Hey babe." I reply, giving her a squeezed before releasing her. She turns and smiles to the boys.

"Hey guys." She says sweetly.

"Hi." Eldon replies. West smirks at her, and deep down it was turning my stomach. I knew this couldn't be good.

"Nice hickey Riley." He says, quite loudly. Several heads turn.

"What?" Riley says nervously, her hand flying to her neck. West laughs.

"How can you see that?" Riley questions in a hushes voice.

"Oh I can see it. And besides, James here told us all about the events of Saturday night." West tells her. My eyes widen.

"You did what?" Riley asks, turning to me.

"Riley-"

"Apparently you were pretty good for a virgin. Well, your defiantly not one anymore of course." He chuckles. Riley scowls at West, glares at me and than runs into the girls bathroom.

"Dude!" I snap, hitting his arm.

"What, I was just messing with her." He replies.

"God, she's going to kill me." I sign heavily.

"Lighten up. Look on the bride side! You get to break up with her Friday night!" He says excitedly.

"Yeah, about that man. You told me that I have to break up with her at the prom on prom night. But she's not going to the prom." I tell her.

"Well than, it looks like your going to have to make her go." He replies.

"How am I supposed to do that?" I ask.

"You'll think of something." He replies. He gives me a pat on the back and than him and Eldon leave. I sigh, hanging my head.

What am I going to do now? I look up and see Riley walking out of the washroom.
