James's POV
"I'm not working today. Want to hang out later?" Riley asks me at our lockers the Friday after our camping trip.
"My sister is getting me and Ashley fitted for her wedding." I tell her. "You can come if you want."
"Um, no. Thanks anyway." She replies.
"Why not? You're really going to leave me alone with Ashley? Who knows, maybe we'll make out behind the prom dress racks without you there." I say with a smirk. Riley rolls her eyes.
"You will do fine without me." She replies.
"Please? I don't want to be there with Ashley. Atleast if you're there than maybe she'll back off a bit." I tell her.
"Like I said, you will be fine without me." She repeats.
"Please. We can get the fittings done and over with, and than we can head back to my place, watch a movie over something and you can stay over." I offer.
"That's sure an offer you can't refuse." She replies sarcastically.
"Whatever. But please come to the fittings with me. I'll be bored out of my mine if you don't." I whine. She sighs.
"You have got to stop guilting me into stuff." She grumbles.

"Is that good?" The seamstress at the bridal shop asks me.
"Yeah, perfect. Actually, hold on." I turn around to face Riley.
"So, how do I look?" I ask.
"Like a penguin." She replies, obviously referring to the white and black of the tux."
"Just the look I was going for. Perfect." I reply chuckling. I go back into the change rooms and put my street clothes back on and come out. I notice Riley looking at a rack of dresses.
"Find anything?" I ask, coming up behind her.
"Um, not. Just looking." She sighs, looking through. I noticed that although she leafed through the dresses, she always came back to this one dress.
"That's pretty." I comment. She shrugs.
"I guess." She mumbles.
"It would look even nicer on you." I reply, poking her playfully.
"Doubt it." She sighs.
"Try it on." I tell her.
"No, I'm good." She says.
"Try it on. For me." I say, giving her the puppy dog eyes.
"That doesn't work on me James." She sighs.
"C'mon. Try it on." I beg.
"No." She snaps.
"James we're leaving now." My mom calls out. Riley looks pleased and walks off.
"I guess you win." I say. I catch up to her and out my arm around her waist.

Riley's POV
I did agree to stay at James after the fittings. I was second guessing it, but after I seen the flirtatious looks Ashley was giving him during fittings, I jumped at the chance.
The only thing wrong was that James insisted on watching the hockey game. I wasn't that interested in it, and I wanted James to pay attention to me.
We were both sitting side by side on the couch. I wrapped my arms around James, hoping he would notice me a little. He just wrapped his arm around me, still keeping his eyes glued to the tv. I sigh, reaching up and nestling my head in the crook of his neck. He chuckled.
"What are you doing baby?" He asks, still watching the game. I sigh again, getting up and sitting in his lap, straddling him. And also blocking the view of the game.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asks, trying to see the tv.
"Just trying to get closer to you." I reply. I lean on him, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Well I appreciate it. But I really need to see this game, so can you tone it down a bit?" He asks.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Can you get off of me so you're not distracting me?" He asks, lifting my body off of his.
"Whatever." I mutter, crossing my arms and moving to the other end of the couch. I take out my phone and play around with it while James was occupied.
