James's POV
Riley leads me to a door, which she opens to reveal a steep set of stairs. We walk up the creaky old steps until we're in what appears to be the attic. And also her room.
"You can sit down." She says softly. I take her suggestion and take a seat on the bed, making myself comfortable.
"I'm sorry about making you come. Emily really wanted you to come." She says shyly.
"No, no, I don't mind." I assure her.
"Alright." She says.
"But, what I do mind is that I'm here lying down, and you're not lying down with me." I say with a smirk.
She giggles a little and lies beside me. She has her hands on my chest, and I wrap both arms around her so she can't move. I rub my hand up and down her back as I kiss her head and she blushes.
"You like this?" I ask. She nods a little.
"You never cuddled or anything with any other of your boyfriends?" I question. I bites her lip.
"You're my first boyfriend." She says shyly. I stare at her beautiful face stunned.
"Wait, what?"
"I never had a boyfriend before." She says quietly.
I can't contain myself from laughing a little out loud. Riley glares at me and pushes me away, hard. She sits up and sits on the edge of the bed, back facing me.
Note to self, Riley gets mad and offended easily.
"C'mon Ri." I say.
"No, I knew I shouldn't have told you." She whines.
"Riley, I only laughed because I was so surprised that a beautiful girl like you never had a boyfriend before." I tell her. She turns a little to slightly look at me.
"I'm not beautiful, okay?" She says quietly. "I'm not beautiful. I'm not pretty. And I don't even know why you wanted to date me so badly, or what you even see in me."
She wasn't crying, but I could see tears forming in her eyes. I sat up too and wrapped my arms around her from behind.
"You would be amazed by what I see in you." I tell her. "You're smart, you're funny, you're absolutely beautiful."
Smiling a little at my list, she leans back into me, my arms still around her. We just sit there like that for a while, before Riley says,
"James?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you kiss me?"
Without another reply, I lean down and softly connect our lips together, and start kissing her. Of course she kisses back. I don't want to pull away, but I cant breath, so I have no other choice.
"Better?" I ask.
"Much." She says with a smile.

Riley's POV
After me and James's little moment, we lie back down on the bed again to cuddle. My arms wrap around his neck and one leg draped over his, with his two arms wrapped around my torso.
"Big sister in the room!" I hear Emily say, walking up the squeaky stairs. She appears and shrivels up her face at the sight of us.
"Ew." She says under her breath. I giggle and let my arms fall from James's neck and remove my leg from over his, but he still keeps his arms where they were.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Dad told me to tell you to keep the door open." She says. "And, I decide that I should check on you two. Good thing I did too."
"Shut up." I laugh.
"Anyway, supper will be ready soon, so you can finish up...Whatever you're doing soon." She informs us. "Or you can just come downstairs now where everyone can see you."
"I think we'll just stay here for a bit." James tells her, looking at me for approval, which I nod in approval to. I don't need my family to see me and my boyfriend cuddle.
"Alright then, just keep everything clean." She says. "Right James?"
"Yes ma'am." He replies with a goofy smile. I giggle while she glares and leaves the room. Then me and James both start to laugh.
"I don't think she likes me." He laughs.
"Only because you're not hers." I tell him putting my arms and legs in the previous position and pull him closer for another kiss.
