James's POV
Monday morning came in the usual manner. When I go to pick up Riley though, she comes out of the house with her arms crossed and an angered expression on her face.
"Hey baby." I greet sweetly.
"Hi." She mutters.
"Whoa, what's wrong with you?" I ask, giving her a nudge, which she returns with a glare.
"I got grounded." She replies.
"Oh what did you do?" I ask curiously.
"Dad found out I got drunk at the party." She grumbles.
"Ah that sucks. I guess you can't hang out after school then, huh?" I question. She sighs.
"Nope." She replies sadly.
"Don't worry about that." I tell her.
"Well, I kind of am." She mumbles.
"Will a kiss make it better?" I ask, leaning in with puckered lips.
"James, just drive." She sighs.
"Nope, not until I get a kiss."
"James-"
"No you got me disappointed, I want a kiss."
"James we're going to be la-"
"Just one k-"
"James just g-"
"I want a kiss!"
"James you're getting on my-"
"Just kiss me!"
"James!"
"One kiss!"
"You know what-"
"What?!"
"Fine!"
She smashes her lips into mine but pulls away before I can even enjoy it.
"That was like nothing!" I whine.
"You said one kiss, and you got it." She replies unhappily.
"Yeah but-"
"Beggars can't be choosers." She replies.
"Fine, but you owe me!" I tell her as I start the engine.
"Whatever you say." She says, a ghostly smile emitted on her lips.
