34, Unexpectedly turned

It's amazing how events unexpectedly turned into something with a ray of sunshine from how cloudy and blue they were previously. It's like... one positive thing will always find its way to cheer someone up, amidst the huge amount of negativity around.

Khiel Jude: Great! Simple lang naman but I feel like it's time already.

The next thing he did was to forward another long message to me. I've read it on my mind and it made me think how great it would be to witness another sweet scene from a couple.

Another engagement I'd be seeing. It's great. I thought I'd never see any of my siblings have that since wala namang ganoong kaganapan kayna Kuya Oxenn at Kuya Benj.

Surely, my sister deserves that proposal. Habang binabasa ko ang mahabang mensahe ni Kuya Jude, nakapaloob lang doon ang isang simpleng panghihingi niya ng kamay para sa kasalanan.

And that would be next week. Ang bilis. Gaganapin iyon sa eksaktong araw ng mga puso. I didn't know Kuya Jude could be this cheesy.

The plan is I have to take my sister with me anywhere. Siguro sa mall, ganoon o basta kahit saan. Basic lang naman iyon para sa'kin lalo na't ngayon ay lagi niyang sinusubukan na libangin ako sa bahay dahil nga iniisip niya na heartbroken ako o ano. I can take her with me and that's easy. Since that day is a Friday, and we won't be having classes because DMA would just be filled with booths and all that, I can just ask for someone else to write my name on the attendance sheets.

Hindi ko na kailangan pumasok pa. Then while I'm out with my sister, Kuya Jude, along with my family and his, will be staying at their rest house to set up everything.

Ang problema ko na lang ay kung paano ko madadala doon ang ate ko.

I tried to think of some reasons while the days went by. It helped me enough to really have my mind think of something else other than the usual, painful thoughts of mine.

Bahala na nga. I'm sure when that day comes, everything will go to its natural flow.

Valentine's day finally came after days of keeping myself busy with different things. I know Dyorda and the others will be attending the university's events and I already requested for Anika to include my name on all the attendance sheets. Maayos ang naging tulog ko sa gabi kahit na medyo kinakabahan din ako at kahit alam kong hindi naman ako ang ma-e-engage sa araw na ito. I'm also excited for my sister.

Nalaman kong kaya abala rin sina mama sa mga nakalipas na araw ay dahil nauna na silang masabihan ni Kuya Jude tungkol sa mangyayari. And of course, mama was happy about it so she offered a lot of help to make it great.

Ipinatong ko sa noo ko ang isang kamay habang nakahiga pa rin sa kama ko. It's still so early. I grabbed my phone after staring at the ceiling for a while.

Pagbukas ng phone ko ay naroon na ang mga messages ni Kuya Jude at maging ang kay ate. I've thought of a move to make the happenings less suspicious so I told her two days ago that I'm planning to buy something for mama since it's Valentine's day. Sabi ko pa, sa dami ng sakit ng ulo'ng nabigay ko magmula sa mga nakaraang buwan... deserving si mama para makatanggap ng regalo mula sa'kin.

Mabuti na lang at gumana naman ang palusot ko.

Erin, my insomnia bothered me all night. I don't think I'd be home around lunch time. Baka hapon na. I can't drive when I barely slept. Matutulog muna ako pero uuwi ako para samahan ka.

I rolled on my bed. Ano ba 'yan bakit ngayon pa umeksena ang kahirapan niya sa pagtulog!
