Amelia and the Minister acknowledge the change in guardianship and Alaya being a werewolf.

Dumbledore cornered the group of four before they exited the courtroom. "Hello, you four. I just wanted to inform you that I went over to Privet Drive and got whatever things that the two of them had left behind. I found a few letters that they had exchanged with their friends and a few other stuffs. It's been placed in your quarters right now, Remus. You can pack it up once you get back to Hogwarts."

"Thank you, Professor. We were wondering how we would get our stuff from there." Said Harry. Dumbledore smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. The four of them went to the atrium while ignoring reporters and journalists on their way and flooed back to Hogwarts.

Time skip to after classes the next day,

Harry and Alaya bid their farewell to Ron and Hermione and came to the quarters. Harry announced their presence by exclaiming "Good Lord! Today was hectic." "How can it not be, pup? Last day of school means giving out of homework in each subject." Justified Sirius, as he flopped next to the twins on the couch.

Alaya laughed. "He's right, Harry. But this time, we get to finish our homeworks without rushing." Harry nodded at the statement before he closed his eyes and rested his head on the back rest. "What do you mean rushed, cub?" asked Remus.

"Vernon always locks up our stuff in a cupboard under the stairs whenever we return back to Surrey from Hogwarts. But we always manage to sneak a few books and stationery before he manages to so that we can write to our friends and finish a bit of our homework. He also tried to lock Harry's owl Hedwig and my owl Nathaniel into that dratted place. But he only managed to lock the cages and allowed us to keep them in our room with us when they started screeching very badly within the first two minutes inside." Explained Harry.

Sirius and Remus exchanged a few looks and moved to sit on the coffee table and took hold of their god children's hands.

"Harry, Alaya, we want to ask you both something. You'll have to answer honestly, okay?" They nodded at this. Sirius spoke this time. "Harry, after what happened 13 years ago, Remus and I don't want to risk that happening again. The previous Ministry had passed some ridiculous laws against werewolves. That's the reason Remus couldn't get custody of you both."

"Yes, you two. I was able to become the Head of my house, that is, the Ancient and Noble House of Lupin and claim my house Wizengamot seat only after Cornelius became the Minister and removed those laws against werewolves." "Okay. Sorry to be rude. But what are you trying to tell?" asked Alaya.
