Chapter 14: Christmas

"HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME IT WAS YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!" I couldn't believe my ears, how could Namjoon not tell me! I would've done something! I can't believe his birthday was all the way back in September... it's December now!

"I don't know, I just didn't think it was important" he shrugged his shoulders at my array of misery.

"NOT IMPORTANT?! ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY!"

"stop screaming! You baby!" This nickname had seemed to stick with all the members, a little punishment for falling asleep in Jungkook's arms that one night.

This all started when I enquired the boys about Christmas presents, they all expressed that I didn't need to spend money on them and that my friendship was gift enough... bull.

Although, then I realized, I didn't know when anyone's birthday was, well except Jungkook's, so when I asked, I was mortified to know Namjoon's was in the same month.

"who else's birthday have I missed?!" I said crossing my arms.

"Well... Jimin's was in October and Jin's was a couple weeks ago" he said it fast like he was ripping off a bandage.

"WHHAAAATTT!? Ahhhh I'm such a bad friend!" I cried, with my eyes closed and head frown back in dismay.

Little giggles along with "It's fines, you didn't knows" were said in reassurance, but the damage was done.

"You should've said, I would've gotten you something" I became sullen and pouty thinking about all the different ways I could have surprised them.

"It's fine Y/N, I wouldn't want you to get me anything anyway and the boys would agree, you should spend your money on yourself. In fact, new rule! No Birthday presents!" Some boys agreed while others... mainly the youngest whined over the thought of losing out on their gifts. I also wasn't happy, ready to scream defiance when Namjoon used his hand to cover my mouth from behind my back, giving me a little back hug in the process. "Glad we all agree" cue the angry grumbles spitting out my mouth in protest... till I had a thought.

"Fine... but I'm still getting you all Christmas presents" An evil grin seeped onto my features as I looked up at the face of an unimpressed Namjoon.

"There's no winning with you"

Now that I had given myself the job of actually purchasing something for the boys, I realized how difficult of a job that may be. What do I get them? What do they like? ...they like food...

No no, it has to be something sentimental to show how much I appreciate what they've done for me this year. Right think... if I get them different things, they might all get jealous, so maybe I'll get them all something that's slightly different for each member.

I got it!!

There was a little craft store in town where I had seen some really cool silver bracelets for men, I wonder if they do personalized ones...

Today was a Sunday, due to the fast-approaching time of Christmas, BIGHIT felt a lot more relaxed than normal, everyone felt relieved that a holiday was approaching. I had spent all day having fun with the boys and helping out with a video they wanted to post on their YouTube channel. 

All the filming had been done; we were all out the other day on the streets getting the perfect shot. We were now all taking time to edit it to perfection, I had to admit it looked pretty good for a self-made Christmas music video, I was learning from the boys. As expected Namjoon and Yoongi wrote the lyrics although Yoongi didn't appear in the video, just Jin and Namjoon... maybe he's prolonging being revealed so it will be more fun for fans.
