Chapter 32: Exams

As the days passed, I found April was slipping right through my fingers, and so was the time I had left before my exams. Revision classes had started... which meant staying after school for hours... which meant collapsing when I got home... which meant... less time for the boys.

Though the more I thought about it, the more I realised... it was for the best.

It was only a matter of time till some news outlet like dispatch make up a story about me, take a picture and destroy everything. I knew eventually they'd find out about me, eventually I'll ruin their careers. Perhaps, distancing myself is the best option, perhaps, I SHOULD stay away this summer.

In my down time I spent the minutes watching Bangtanbombs, they were becoming my favourite things in the world. If I didn't have time to call one of them, I'd put on a video. My favourite at the moment was one that came out a few months ago of Jungkook and V lip-syncing to a song. I swear V in that outfit was sent straight from God himself.  

It kind of made me a little sad though, to see them all living their lives without me and still being happy. Whereas I felt like life was meaningless anytime I decided to return home. Though that did make me feel better about being away for such a long time, at least they were happy.

Before I even knew it, my exams had started, they'd be taking up most of May and into June, so I was in for a long ride.

My first couple where for English, which I was actually pretty confident in, being the teachers pet in many lessons meant I felt pretty good about my abilities.

"Angus! How do you think you did" I sat next to Angus in every English lesson, he always let me draw on his arm and annoy him, so I felt like he was a good friend.

"Hey Y/n... alright, I'm angry about the 'Of Mice and men' question though...I wished it was on Curley, instead of George, I had so much on Curley ready!"

"yeah same, or even Curley's wife, but there was no way they'd be that nice"

"Oh well... only 10,000 exams to go!" I chuckled, Angus and I both took triple science which meant we both had nine exams in science alone. "but we're gunna celebrate after yeah?" He asked sweetly.

"Yeah, of course" I had never been out with him or his friends before, so the idea really made me smile.

...

"hey Y/n-ie how you holding up?" Namjoon had called me up just as I had got home one night, which meant it was around 1am there.

"I'm alright Joonie, but you should be asleep" I sighed.

"Nah I'm alright, by the sound of it, you need the rest more than I do..."He chuckled a little worried.

"yeah, you could say that" I replied as I plopped down on my bed.

"How did the Ethics exam go?"

"Honestly, it was alright, but I'm much more looking forward to my philosophy exam after the weekend"

"Why?"

"I really do love philosophy, might take it at college" I shut my mouth as soon as I let it spill, I basically just told him that I was thinking about staying here next year rather than coming back to Korea. If he caught on to it, he didn't say anything.
