"Y/N, please open the door. We need to talk about this."

"There is nothing to talk about!" You yell back. Why can't he just leave you alone? God, why did you decide to all live together? This is a nightmare. Now you can't even leave your room in your own house because you will have to face him.

"There is a lot to talk about. Please open the door."

"No."

"Fine. But I'm not moving." You heard some whispering and then it was quiet. You took this time to take a breath. How could you be so stupid to tell him how you feel? You were angry and it just got out, but now you're in a big mess. Why even is he here? He has a girlfriend. He should be with her. You sigh and take a shower, hope that the warm water will calm you down.

The shower did the opposite. You only feel worse when you get out. You have been thinking and it's driving you crazy. Is he still at the door? You hope not. You just want to get something to eat from the kitchen. You walk to the door and want to open it, but then stop yourself. What if he's still there?

"Rudy?"

"Yeah." Shit. You then look at your window. It's crazy, but not impossible. You walk towards it and open your window. Looking down, the little shed is right below your window. However, there is a pretty big distance between the window and the shed. You still take the change and slowly lower yourself down. You let go of the window and land on the shed. You quietly get down and rub the dirt of your body. Now you don't have to run into Rudy. You walk into the house.

"I thought you were in your room," Drew says as soon as he sees you.

"I was. But you never saw me. I don't want Rudy to come downstairs."

Drew rolls his eyes at you. "This is pretty childish. Why don't you just talk to him?"

"I'm never talking to him. I made a fool out of myself."

"It's probably not that bad," you hear Madelyn say. You turn around and see her and Chase walking out of the kitchen.

"Not that bad? I told the guy that I loved him while he has a girlfriend. Like I said, I made a fool out of myself. Now I'm here to get some food, so can I?" Chase and Madelyn are both blocking the way into the kitchen.

"No, we're eating in half an hour," Chase says.

"Not me, I'll be back in my room."

"But you're not going into the kitchen."

You sigh.

"Is your food burning? It smells like ass in here," JD says when he walks by. Chase and Madelyn look at each other before rushing into the kitchen. They open the door and smoke comes out.

"Fire!" You hear Chase yell. He and Madelyn come rushing out of the kitchen. Then the fire alarm goes off.

"Everybody out!" Drew yells. Madelyn and Chase are already outside. Austin and Madison come rushing into the living room.

"There is a fire. We have to get out!" JD yells and runs out of the house. Madison and Austin follow him. Drew is one step after them, but he stops when he sees you standing in the house. You look at the stairs, waiting for Rudy to come down, but he doesn't. Where the fuck is he?

"Y/N, come on!" You start to cough. The smoke is now filling up the entire living room and you can see the flames spreading from the kitchen. You put your shirt over your mouth.

"Rudy is still up there. I have to get him!"

"No, you're not!" Drew rushes over to you and drags you out of the house.

"Let me go! He's still in there!" You try to get out of Drew his grip, but he's way to strong.

"Guys, where is Rudy?" Madison asks.

"Upstairs," you say and look at your room. Please say that he got out of the house using the front door.

"He's still in there? Hasn't he heard the alarm?"

"Probably. Rudy is not that stupid. He's probably at the front of the house," Austin says. You stop moving. He thinks you're in your room. He's probably yelling for your right now and you're not responding, because you're not there. What if he's still there because of you? What if he's trying to save you while you're down here?

"Can somebody call him?" you ask. Madison already has her phone out and starts to call.

"Voicemail. His phone is turned off." shit.

"Are you calm?" Drew asks you.

"Perfectly." Drew lets go of you. You take this as an opportunity and run away from him to the front door. You hear all of them yelling for you, but you ignore them. If Rudy is still in there, then that's because of you. You have to save him.

"Rudy!" You yell as you open the front door. Smoke is the only thing that comes out.

"Y/N! Don't!" Three boys are running towards you from different directions. Austin is the closest to you. You quickly rush to the door, but he's faster. He grabs you and pulls you away from the door.

"Are you insane?! Have you seen that fire?"

"Rudy is still in there because of me. Now please let me go so I can save him!"

"What? Why?"

"He thinks I'm still in my room, but I snuck out because I didn't want to talk to him. Now please, let go of me so I can get him out." Right at that moment, the first fire truck comes to the house.

"Our friend is still in there!" Chase yells to one of the firefighters. Austin drags you further away from the door. You look as the firefighters get in, anxious waiting for them to return with Rudy.

You feel the tears well up in your eyes when they come back outside, without Rudy.

"There was nobody in the house. We've put out the fire." The rest of the conversation goes by you. He's not in the house? Did he go up in flames, like literally? He can't just vanish like that! Tears roll down your cheeks. Is he... he can't be, right?

"Y/N!" You look up and see your friends, including Rudy, walking towards you.

"Rudy, oh my god!" You yell and run towards him. You swing your arms around his neck and hug him as tight as you can. Slowly, Rudy pushes you off him.

"You shouldn't have snook out like that."

"I know, I just didn't want to talk to you, because what is there to say?"

"This," Rudy says and presses his lips against yours. For a moment, you kiss him back. You kiss him back like your life is depending on it, sending fireworks off all through your body. But then reality kicks in and you pull back.

"We can't. You have a girlfriend."

"But that's just it. I don't. We broke up like three months ago."

"Really?"

"Really. Y/N, would you like to go out with me sometime?"

"I would love too." You smile and kiss him again.

"Great that they sorted at out, only thing is that it took a freaking fire to make that happen," you hear JD say and you all laugh.
