You hadn't meant to fall. It was supposed to be a fun day at the beach with Drew, Madelyn, Rudy, and the rest of the gang. The sun was shining, the waves were perfect, and everything felt just right. You were laughing, joking around, and in the middle of it all, you tripped.

It wasn't anything dramatic. It was just a clumsy moment, the kind you could laugh off. But then, you felt it—a sharp, agonizing pain shoot through your leg. You screamed, and the world around you blurred.

Before you could even fully process what had happened, Drew was at your side, panic in his eyes.

"Y/N! Hey, hey, it's okay. Stay with me," Drew said, his voice frantic, yet soothing all at once. He gently cupped your face with both hands, trying to calm you down.

"Drew, I—" you gasped, trying to move, but the pain was so intense that it took everything in you not to pass out.

"Don't move, babe," he said, kneeling down to check your leg. "You've definitely broken it. We need to get you help."

The rest of the group was quick to rush in, but Drew's focus was entirely on you. His hands were shaking as he carefully assessed your leg, trying to make sure you weren't making it worse.

"Stay calm," he whispered to you, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "We're gonna get you to the hospital, alright? Just stay with me. You're gonna be okay."

---

Hours later, you were at the hospital, lying in a bed with a cast on your leg and an IV in your arm. The pain was still there, but thankfully, they had given you something to take the edge off. You weren't entirely out of it, but you definitely felt... loopy.

Drew was sitting next to you, holding your hand, his eyes filled with concern as he watched you slowly drift in and out of consciousness. The rest of the gang had stopped by, popping in to make sure you were okay, but Drew refused to leave your side.

"You doing alright, baby?" he asked, his voice gentle as he stroked your hair. "I know you're in pain, but we're getting through it together."

You blinked up at him, your vision a little fuzzy. "I'm fine," you slurred, though you knew you were far from it. You tried to move your leg, but the pain made you wince.

Drew's brow furrowed. "No, don't try to move it, Y/N. You're gonna make it worse."

You giggled, the sound a little too loud in the quiet hospital room. "Drew, you're like a... like a mom," you said, your voice still high from the painkillers. "But... a really hot mom."

Drew let out a relieved laugh, but his eyes still looked a little concerned. "You're a little high right now, aren't you?"

You blinked slowly, trying to focus, but the drugs made everything a little hazy. "Maybe..." you whispered, a silly grin spreading across your face. "But I still think you're cute, even if you're being a... mom."

Drew rolled his eyes, but his smile softened. He couldn't help but find your drugged-up state endearing, even though he was worried about you. "You're something else, Y/N."

---

A little while later, your brother Austin and Rudy popped in, both looking equally concerned, but also trying to keep things light.

"You good?" Austin asked, walking over to the side of your bed and giving you a concerned smile.

"Yup," you said, your words slow and exaggerated. "Totally, totally good. I've got Drew... he's... he's my nurse."

Rudy chuckled from the other side of the room. "Drew as a nurse? I don't know, man. I think you need a new one."

Drew gave Rudy a playful glare but didn't say anything. He knew you were just being goofy because of the meds, and honestly, he was relieved to see you laughing at all. It made him feel a little bit better, even though he was still on edge.

Madison and Chase had come in too, giving you their well wishes before they left to let you rest. They promised to bring you something fun to watch later, to keep your mind off the pain.

But for now, it was just Drew. And you.

---

As the night settled in, you started to feel sleep tugging at you again, the painkillers starting to take effect even more. You could hear Drew talking softly to you, but everything felt like it was muffled, far away.

"Y/N," Drew whispered, gently brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "You need to get some rest, okay? I'll be right here when you wake up. I'm not going anywhere."

You smiled sleepily, your eyes fluttering closed. "I know... you're the best, Drew. I'm so lucky."

"You're the best too, babe," he said softly, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "Get some sleep, alright? We've got plenty of time for me to take care of you."

As you drifted off, his words echoed in your mind. You felt safe, loved, and—thanks to Drew—you knew everything would be okay.
