So as Volume 3 comes to a close, should I end this story with this volume and start a second for volumes 4-7 or just keep going?

I've also noticed the number of reads I'm getting is dropping. What am I doing wrong, god dammit? What must I do to please you all?!

Last thing: I was wrong, this isn't the last chapter. The next bit will tie this all together.

(Y/N) dropped onto his hands and kicked his legs around, sweeping the IMC pilot off their feet before jumping and driving his data knife into their throat. The 6-4 pilot stood at the sounds of titan weapons and looked behind him to see Osiris kick an Ion into a building, ripping both of its arms off in the process before taking its Splitter Rifle and jamming it into the cockpit.

     "Another one down . . ." (Y/N) started.

"There will be more soon. We should rendezvous with the other students to ensure their safety. Likely, we are not the only targets of the IMC." The titan kneeled and scooped the pilot up, allowing him to settle in the cockpit before its doors closed. Then, together, they were running again, attempting to find allies anywhere they may be. Another pass of the dragon Grimm, now identified as a Wyvern, left more Grimm coming out of the ground around them.

"Is there any way to kill that thing?" The pilot asked, exasperated.

"We do not have the firepower. However, as long as it does not attack directly, it is not enough of a threat to prioritize."

"It shits Grimm out of its rib cage! If we don't find a way to bring it down, it may keep the pressure on long enough to choke us."

Sudden machinegun fire sprayed the right side of the hull. (Y/N) instantly spun to counter it, activating the vortex shield. The attacker revealed itself as an Atlesian paladin. Thankfully, the automated mech was not intelligent enough to know the more rounds it wasted, the more damage it took. When it finally stopped firing, (Y/N) released the captured bullets back at the sender before sprinting up to it and slashing horizontally with the broadsword.

As the paladin's halves fell away, the familiar sound of mechanical thumping caught (Y/N)'s attention to the path he had taken before the paladin interrupted. From around the corner of a building came another machine, though it was different from what (Y/N) had seen in the past. Its body was Atlesian, that much was easy to tell. The head, however, or the cockpit, looked far different than that of the predecessors. It almost looked like the head of a badger, minus the black and grey metal, and red eyes, of course.

"Pilot, I am getting odd scan data from this machine. Its systems are Atlesian, but I'm detecting traces of additional technology." Osiris informed. (Y/N) acknowledged it as he swapped his sword for the chaingun and opened fire. The mech charged them at the same time, and to much surprise, deflected the shots with an energy shield.

"It has a shield?" (Y/N) asked in shock, backpedaling within his titan to escape the paladin's large metal fist.

"That would explain the strange readings. While the barrier appears to be powered by Dust, it operates almost identically to titan shields."

(Y/N) pondered his partner's words as he dodged sideways before raising Osiris's leg and kicking the hostile machine away. "You don't think Ironwood . . ."

"It is entirely possible this paladin is the result of Atlas's study of the titan remains you gave it."

"Well, he certainly didn't waste any time." (Y/N) frustratedly rolled his eyes before blocking a punch with the X0-16. He then used the stock to knock its forearm to the side, leaving it open for a right hook that sent it stumbling back. In the short moment of respite he was given, (Y/N) placed the X0-16 on his titan's back and redrew the sword. The paladin was quick to recover, its left arm shifting into a machine gun as it charged. (Y/N) cocked his sword arm back, watching the unmanned combatant for no longer than a second before initiating his own rush. "I guess the general will have to get over it if we rough it up a little!"
