Destined by Stars

Chapter 28

When the night comes, the stars above the sky shines. Together with the moon, they light up our night, giving us hope.

It travels on space for thousands of years before reaching the Earth's surface. Some stars die even before their light reaches our planet.

But the thousand years travel of the light is worth it when it reaches us. Their light gives us hope and strength to fight all our fears and problems away. It may take many years but they still reach us successfully.

When you feel blue and is starting to lose hope, look up at the night sky and see the stars. Remember that it took them years just to be where they are now.

It may took you years before you reached your dream but it's going to be worth it. It may take you a long time to meet the one destined for you but when the time comes that you two meet each other, you are going to thank the long years of waiting because those years molded and made your man a worthy one for you.

And when the time comes that the one that you've been praying for is already at your arms, treasure him like how the universe treasures the stars. Make him your star that would be your light in your darkest time. Treat him with all the love and care and always make him feel the he is enough.

But what if the star that you treasure the most loses it's light because of a mistake you had done?

What if you meet someone on your way that would make you lose your star?

Would you still keep your star and keep a promise of eternity with him? Or lose him because of the person you met?

As I close the last page of the book that I am reading, I suddenly felt a pang in my heart. Why did the book affected me so much?

"You're thinking too much, Asha. You have to take a rest," sabi ko sa sarili ko at pinatay na ang lamp sa aking side table upang makatulog na.

Tulog na si Zeus at andoon siya nakahiga sa kanyang maliit na bed. Mahimbing na itong natutulog at ni hindi man lang nagising ng himasin ko ang kanyang balahibo.

Napagod siguro ang asong ito sa pagpapabibo kanina nang nakipag-facetime si Rigel. Tahol siya ng tahol pagkakita niya sakanyang Daddy.

Habang nag-uusap kami kanina ni Rigel ay gusto ko sanang sabihin sakanya na gustong makipagkita sa akin ni Kenzo...ngunit hindi ko nagawa dahil baka magkaroon ng gulo.

I decided to give Kenzo a chance na makipagkita sa akin. I am so damn curious why he knows a lot of things about me the I didn't even told Kade about those. Even Rigel has no idea about some stuffs that he mentioned.

I never even told Rigel about my childhood friend, ken-ken, whom has a lot of resemblance to him. Simula nang maging kami ni Rigel ay hindi na sumagi sa isipan ko ang mga pangakong ibinigay sa akin ng aking kababata. Siguro naman ay hindi iyon seryoso sa kanyang mga ipinagsasabi dahil bata pa kami noon at wala pang masyadong kamuwang-muwang sa mundo.

Malalim ang aking pag-iisip habang umuupo sa kama hanggang sa mapadpad ang aking mata sa teddy bear na nakadisplay sa akin side table. Kinuha ko ito at pinagmasdan.

Hindi ko ito inaalis sa aking side table dahil kahit papano ay isa ito sa mga bagay na nagpapaalala sa akin sa aking kababata na ang tanging alam ko lang tungkol sakanya ay ang kanyang palayaw.

"Nasaan na kaya ang totoong nagmamay-ari sayo? Magkikita pa ba kaming muli o sadyang iniwan ka niya sa akin upang kahit papano ay maalala ko siya?"

Yakap-yakap ang teddy bear ay nakatulog ako ng mahimbing at hindi namamalayan na may tumulo na pa lang luha mula sa aking mata.
