It had been a week since the break up and Jonathan just wouldn't slink into a corner and die! He did everything he could think of to get Erica back, but she refused every advance. He'd called, texted, sent flowers, showed up at her place, all the things he could think of. She ignored every call, every text, and wouldn't even acknowledge he was outside her door when he came by. One day, he sat outside her place for three hours and she never said a word to him, didn't even move the curtain.
Today she returned to work from vacation. In this instance, vacation meant Erica didn't want to see Jonathan’s or Jennifer’s faces or she’d hurt them. Jonathan sat with his office door half ajar so he could keep an eye out for her. When Erica walked into the office, his eyes flew to her. She was gorgeous in a black silk blouse with flower print and a black pencil skirt. Her blue high heels pulled his attention to her feet and his eyes climbed back up her long legs until they rested on her center.
He watched those hips sway to their own song and carry her across the room. Jonathan had to wipe his mouth to make sure he wasn't drooling. He watched her speak to various people until she reached Jennifer's desk, right outside his office door. Erica pasted a fake smile on her face and remained professional.
"Jennifer, I need to speak with Jonathan. Is he free?"
Jennifer was caught off guard by the friendly tone and smile. She stood up and leaned into Erica's space. "Erica, I'm so sorry about -"
Erica interrupted, her tone hushed. Her words were laced with ice that stopped Jennifer cold. “Let's be clear. We're at work which is the only reason I haven't slapped you. We will never be cool again. Get that through your head now.” She walked away from the desk and nudged Jonathan's door open wider. His eyes went wide when he saw her. “We need to talk,” she announced. She stepped into the office, closing the door behind her. Jonathan stood and started walking around his desk. “Nope, stay on your side. I can't be responsible for my actions if you're too close to me.”
He paused at her words and stared at her, gauging whether he should test his luck. Jonathan figured Erica wouldn't cause a scene because they were at work. However, he'd never had to deal with this level of anger from her, so what if regular rules of decorum didn't apply? He decided to take the chance and hoped it paid off.
Erica watched Jonathan's lithe, sinewy body come toward her. His navy blue suit was fitted to his body and hugged him in all the right places. She flashed back to about two weeks ago when he'd called her into his office, sat her on his desk, dropped to his knees and licked the lips between her thighs like an ice cream cone savored on a hot day. She'd stuffed his handkerchief in her mouth to muffle her moans.
As she came back to the present, Jonathan had caged her between his body and the door, placing his hands against it by her head. He leaned into her and pressed that hard body against her. Her body betrayed her with the familiarity of his closeness and the smallest of whimpers escaped. Jonathan brought his face to the right side of her neck and nuzzled her. Erica stood still while her mind raced through the good and bad of their relationship. His words were whispered between kisses on her neck.
“I knew you missed me. Babe, just forgive me so we can move on.”
The cockiness in his voice felt like ice cold water thrown in her face. That snapped Erica back to her right mind, pronto! Before he could register the change in her demeanor, she had Jonathan's balls in her hand.
“I don't know what you think is going to happen, but if you want to keep these to pleasure your little friend out there, I suggest you back the hell up!”
Tears had formed in Jonathan's eyes. He groaned in discomfort at her tightened grip. Erica squeezed his jewels for good measure before she let go. Upon release, Jonathan jumped away from her. His face was flushed, his cheeks reddening by the second.
