"Phi!!! P'Mew!!!" Mew heard someone shouting from the outside. He turned around and through the glass wall, saw Gulf at the gate holding a lot of paper bags on both hands.
Mew, although a bit confused, went out to open the gate for Gulf.
"What brings you here? With all there paperbags?" Mew asked, still confused.
"P'Apple asked me to feed you, Phi. That's why I brought you a lot." Gulf handed Mew some of the paperbags.
"She did?" Mew asked as he looked up at Apple's room on the second floor of the house.
"Yup. Is she not around?" Gulf asked as they walked into the house.
"Nope. Upstairs. Upset because August left already." Mew explained.
"Oh, so he really went to pursue further studies abroad, huh?" Gulf said. "How brave of him. If it's me, I don't think I could leave at the moment."
"Wait. You know about it? How?" Mew asked. He knows that sometimes Gulf and August talk when Gulf visits but he never expected them to talk about their plans in life. He doesn't think they're that close to talk about it.
"Well, apparently Phi, P'August's mother used to be my mother's classmate in college. They're kinda friends. We met once in a function. Actually, we found each other on the same boat, our parents want us to study masters abroad." Gulf explained.
"So, you also gave plans to leave?" Mew's tone became serious. Gulf noticed it.
"P'Mew, not now. We still have lots of projects and activities together, right? I told you before, I won't leave your side as long as you want me to stay." Gulf said.
Mew blushed and fell silent for a while. Then he smiled. He asked himself why is he acting like that. Why is he being swoon by Gulf when in fact, he used to make all men and women's heart flutter.
Mew was drinking his late night coffee when Apple finally decided to come down from her room.
"Where's Gulf?" Was the first thing he asked Mew.
"He went home already. His parents need him." Mew explained. Apple just nodded.
Apple sat beside Mew. Apple didn't move a bit. She just stared outside through the glass wall.
"Want me to make you a coffee?" Asked Mew.
Apple shook her head. "I'll just go and watch." She told Mew and went on to their living room to watch while Mew was left at the dining table enjoying his coffee.
All of a sudden, Apple called Mew. But when Mew asked what's the matter, Apple paused and said it's nothing.
Apple was contemplating if she will tell Mew about what she saw on television. She knows that Mew is happy and content with his life now. The last he wants, which she knows very well, is for the woulds of the past to be reopened.
It took her some time to tell him. She decided not to talk about it at first, but the thought of seeing that person again made her very uneasy. She decided to tell him.
It was a rainy Sunday night. It's just the two of them at home. August left weeks ago (and hasn't called them since then) while Tawan is busy training to become a patissier.
Mew and Apple were both at the living room. The TV was turned off, the light was also off on the livinh room. The only source of light was the light from the kitchen.
