I woke up to the smell of bacon. I looked at my phone and it's already 11 in the morning. I wonder why Fluke is still here to cook. I got up, fixed my bed and went straight to the kitchen. I was expecting to see the kids but there's only one person there: Secretary Na.
"Secretary Na, what are you doing here?" I asked him. He turned to me, holding a spatula on his right hand, and the pan on his left hand.
He smiled at me. I felt shy suddenly. His smile widened.
"Cooking you some breakfast? Oh, I mean brunch." He explained. Then he continued cooking.
I looked around and saw no one. Usually, Mew, Earth and Kao are here on Fridays. Sometimes Ohm and Tawan are also here.
"Where are the others?" I asked him while I'm making myself some coffee. "And why are you here?"
"Well, I came to give you the goods that your grandfather bought abroad." He might be talking about the paper bags in the living room. "The rest left telling me they have some things to attend to, and suggested me to cook you some breakfast."
"Sorry if you have to cook for me." Gosh I'm gonna kill those kids when I see them!
"Don't feel sorry. It's not like this is the first time I cooked for you." He said as he put down the plate in front of me.
Apparently, he cooked brunch for me and for him. So we're eating together, again.
The past weeks have been good. We spent most of the time together not really because we're dating but because of the research paper I'm writing under him. He is a very strict mentor but he never forgets to be sweet when he needs to. No one questioned or asked us about our relationship. And I think, we're the type of people who let others think what they want to. What is important is what we have and how we think of it.
I have to be honest, I haven't been this happy in my life. And I haven't been this expressive, I guess. Sometimes, I even shock myself for doing things that I thought I would never do. Don't even ask me what are those. Just thinking of them makes me soooo embarassed.
"So, what are your plans today?" He asked me.
I looked at him and our eyes met. My goodness, my heart started beating faster. I've never been like this before.
"Ummm, I really don't know. I want to exercise but I don't feel like going to the gymn." I told him.
He let out a sigh. "Let's get out later in the afternoon." I just looked at him. "Let's have a walk."
And by that he meant walking in the oval. It's almost 6pm when we left home. We're both in our casual clothes.
"So why did you choose to walke here?" I asked him as we begin our walkathon.
"Well, it seems like you've been stressed out lately. I noticed before that you love walking here when you're stressed." He explained.
"Who wouldn't get stressed when I'm going to present tomorrow?" I complained.
He chuckled. "I told you, the paper is already good. You can definitely ace it." He assured me.
"And when did you see me walking here, stressed?" I asked him."were you spying on me?"
He laughed. "Have you forgotten? I used to gather data on you, part of my job."
Oh, yes, I totally forgot about that. He might know more about me than me, myself.
"And, well, I get to see it first hand. I saw you walk here when August was bombarding you to sign the divorce papers." His tone became serious. "That rainy day as well, when you collapsed."
