When I arrived, Mama was waiting for me at the door. Dinner is served, I was told.
"Good evening, Mama," I told her as I bent to show my respect.
"Tara na, kakain na tayo. Mag ayos ka na dun." She ordered.
Ooops, I almost forgot. I have not texted my girlfriend yet.
T: I'm home, almost kakarating lang.
B: Okay, they are here na. We will have dinner lang later.
T: I will call you after.
B: Do what you have to do first. I will take a shower din after dinner.
T: Sige para mabango ako pag nag facetime tayo haha.
B: Crazy. Enjoy your dinner na.
T: It would have been more enjoyable if you were here.
B: Thirdyyyyy
T: What?
B: Kumain na tayo.
While we were having dinner, Mama and Papa were just interrogating Dani and I. They first asked Dani about her plans for college. She has been training for the AWVT since last year and she will be having her tryout soon, she has already passed her ACET and has decided to join the camp.
"Thirdy, ano na balita sa drafting for the Pro league?" Papa asked me.
"I have not been advised yet, but Sir Quimpo was saying something about FIBA. I will be meeting with him next week."
"Alright. Ayusin mo ha. All eyes are on you."
"Si Papa para parati na lang may doubts sa akin."
"Of course not. Syempre we are here to remind you and guide you. Baka masyado ka naman mag concentrate kay Bea, maawa ka dun sa tao. Ilang taon pa lang kayo binabakuran mo na. 12 years ka lang ata noon." Papa told me, annoying me.
"Oo nga, Pa," Dani interrupted. "Si Kuya panay na lang nakasunod kay Ate Bea."
"Oy Dani manahimik ka nga, hindi naman totoo sinasabi mo. " I said in my defense.
"Kuya, basta ung sinasabi ko syo. Huwag masyado sakalin si Bea. Same lang kayo na first nyo ito, don't make it traumatic for the both of you. Chill chill lang kayo."
"Luh bakit parang wala kayong tiwala sa akin. Alam ko na gagawin ko. "
"We just wanted to remind you nga. Like what your Papa said. We will help you naman to make this relationship work out." Mama reasoned out.
I know they want this to work. I mean, who doesn't. I will make sure each and every day I can show her that I am the better choice among her other suitors.
