Chapter 16

The following months had been so stressful for me. I regret not fixing my schedules because of how hectic my day was and it's making my head hurt even more. My Mom advised that I should go to the hospital to have myself checked because she can't prescribe any medication just because of a headache. They need to run some tests. But due to my studies and other things I am working on, I totally forgot about it.

I think this month is going to be good though. We are going to watch a theatrical play. It's been a long time since I attended one, mabuti na lamang at ang theater company na paborito ko ang magtatanghal. I couldn't be more excited!

"Tobias is in the Philippines? Tobias Oliveira?" I exclaimed after seeing his name on the program's front cover. Napanganga ako sa kakisigan at kagwapuhan nito. He looks more manly than ever! Noong Senior High pa lamang kami ay crush na crush ko na ito kaso hindi naman ako makakuha ng tyempo para makipaglapit. Pius and Verona knew him but I couldn't find a chance to be friends with him. Siguro ay busy iyon sa pag-aaral. He's not using his social media accounts often.

"Sheena, parang tumataba ka?" Panirang sabi ni Verona habang pinagmamasdan ako. Inirapan ko siya.

"You sure know how to ruin a mood at the very right moment 'no?"

Nagkibit balikat ito at nilingon si Guia na nasa tabi niya. Now a pair of blue eyes and a pair of hazel with a hint of green eyes were staring right through me, like those stares could wander against the deepest part of my soul. It made me uncomfortable especially with Guia's. Sa tuwing tumitingin ito ay hindi ko maiwasang mailang. Her eyes were as hypnotizing as Marceu's. Everytime I look at it, I feel lost. I personally think that if I'm a guy, I would totally date her.

"Oo na! Isang linggo na ang cheat day ko dahil wala akong time maggym sa dami ng ginagawa." Pag-amin ko. Nagtawanan naman ang tatlo. Gustong-gusto talaga nilang makitang naiinis ako. Para sa kanila, entertainment iyon.

The next day, sa sobrang excited ko ay maaga pa lang, nasa venue na ako. Wala tuloy akong makausap. Ang mga kaibigan ko ay manananghalian pa lamang habang ako ay mag-isang naghihintay sa pagdating nila. I should've just wander around the mall first or buy a cup of coffee before going here. Wala pa rin namang pila kaya napagdesisyunan kong tumambay muna sa coffee shop hindi kalayuan sa CCP.

Habang hinihintay ang Iced Americano ko ay nag-iwan ako ng text kay Marceu. Siguro sa oras na mabasa niya 'to ay nasa loob na kami ng tanghalan at kung sakaling tumawag man siya ay hindi ko masasagot iyon.

I'm going to watch a theater play with my friends. Just saying in case you're going to call, I may not be able to answer it.

When I realized that he must be very busy because he's still not replying to me after 10 minutes, I decided to put down my phone to go get my coffee. I stopped from my pace after getting it when I saw Kennedy.

"Hi! It's been a while!" I greeted. Ken's face went from blank to a cheerful expression. Gumilid ako para hintayin siyang makuha ang kaniyang kape bago kami sabay na naglakad patungo sa table ko. He must be alone too.

"What are you doing here?" Tanong ko pagkaupo namin. I sipped on my coffee.

"Just passing by. You?"

"We're going to watch a theater play. It's compulsory but I think I'm going to enjoy it. Guess who's performing," I said excitedly.

Ken looked above while placing his index finger on his jaw. He seems to be recalling all the theater companies he used to watch before, but when he turned to me and saw me gleaming from ear to ear, he must've guessed something for his face lighten up.
