"Ayoko nga po roon, dito lang po ako!"

I look at the little girl, her friends called her Tata. I saw her in front of the convenience store last week, she's always in front of it until I approach her and ask her everyday to come with me to the orphanage, I can help her to find a family.

"It's for your own good." Sagot ko rito.

I saw how her eyes shifted into confusion after I answered her.

"Hindi ko po kayo maintindihan," Napakamot pa ito sa ulo niya. "Basta po hindi po ako aalis dito!" Sigaw niya sa akin bago tuluyang tumakbo paalis sa harap ko.

"Tata!" I tried to call her but she just looked at me and stuck her tongue out.

I put down all the papers that I'm holding, hindi ko kayang magfocus sa binabasa ko. It's been a week since I last saw Tata, I'm so worried about her.

"Have you seen her?"

Klean just shook his head then he put his things on the sofa.

"I ask you to look for her, right?" May himig na inis sa boses ko. "How about Tito? Any news?"

His Dad is the chief in our place that's why I ask him, ngunit bago pa siya makasagot nakarinig kami ng ingay.

"Tigil-tigilan mo nga ako sa pinagsasabi mo Keegan! Bakit namin mapupunta rito 'yun?"

Pareho kaming napatingin ni Klean sa pinto when we heard Stephen's voice followed by Keegan.

"Bakit? Nakaban ba sila rito kaya hindi sila pwedeng pumunta? Hindi naman sila persona non grata!" Sarkastikong sagot ni Keegan. "Mag-isip ka nga tsong!"

"Pilosopo ka 'no? What I'm trying to imply is that there's a huge impossibility that she will come here, after the heartache that she felt from the guy that lives here? Never in a million years will you see that woman here."

"Tanga ka ba?" Umupo si Keegan sa aking tabi. "Anything is possible, we cannot anticipate what will happen in the future. Isa pa, hindi lang naman si Weston ang pwede niyang dayuhin dito, she's a doctor and Weston is far from her priority, right?"

"What the heck are you two talking about?" I butted in.

"Ito kasing si Keegan kung ano-anong pinagsasabi," Inis na saad ni Stephen he then sat beside Klean while he threw some chips on top of the table. "Nakita raw niya 'yung ex mo!"

"What?" Kumunot ang aking noo bago lumingon kay Keegan.

"I'm telling the truth Weston! I swear! I really saw Ishi, Tata and your love of life! Tumakbo pa nga sila when Ishi saw me!" Parang problemadong-problemado ang mukha nito. "Minsan gago ako pero hindi ako sinungaling."

"Are you drunk?" Klean asked.

"It's freaking two in the afternoon Klean! Sinong maglalasing ng ganiyang ka-aga?"

"Just making sure."

Muling nanumbalik ang tingin sa akin ni Keegan. "I really saw her, bro. I swear."

He was so serious and I am starting to believe him.

They were talking but I couldn't focus, a lot of thoughts came to my mind, how is she? Does she have a family now? Is she finally happy? Does it ever cross her mind that there's Weston in her life before?

I want to know the answers but I'm afraid that it will break me again.

"Please Mom, let's go to the hospital tomorrow, okay?" I tried to convince her before I went to my office. "It's for your own good."
