Dazai reported the information he got last night to Mori Ougai.

The sudden false alarm from last night made a ruckus throughout the mafia that Dazai had to do a double work to secure their men and also to transfer Yuko into another room.

"I see. Mimic, huh. Certainly, if it weren't for Tsushima-kun's knowledge from the government, we wouldn't easily obtain this information about them. I should express her my gratitude for helping us then..." Mori said in a calm voice.

"I leave the Anti-Mimic plan to you, Dazai-kun. I give you the permission to command the front."

"Understood, Boss." Dazai replied.

After discussing their affairs, Dazai couldn't help but notice something off.

He couldn't shrug off the feeling that his Boss has something on his mind that he couldn't easily read.

He find it curious...

"Mori-san, can you tell me why you're keeping Yuko-chan in the mafia?" Dazai shifted the subject.

Mori opened his eyes and looked at the young executive with relaxed but cold eyes.

"Your deal with her...it would be better if we use her to finish Mimic instead because as far as I know, she can easily eliminate them if she does so."

Mori Ougai's expression raised Dazai's suspicion even more. For a split second, he was sure Mori was displeased from what he said. But still, Dazai remained his still demeanor.

"Indeed, she can." Mori simply replied.

"Then why?"

Mori Ougai sighed and slowly stood up from his seat.

"It is a greater advantage if we keep Tsushima-kun still, rather than have her in the front-lines, Dazai-kun. You'll soon understand." Mori said sternly.

"Then, can you at least let her out for a bit? You did say you want to express your gratitude to her."

"Why are you speaking in her place, Dazai-kun?" His boss said, surprised.

"Because I know she doesn't like to be caged."

Mori Ougai went silent for a short time.

His piercing cold eyes assessed his young executive's wishes in front of him.

"Any other reason?" He probed.

"I need her help in the investigation..."

It was a rare situation where Dazai would suggest something for other's sake, also contradicting the plans that the Boss have in keeping Yuko in captivity.

Nevertheless, Mori was thinking...

The two of them assessing one another.

Dazai watched how the Boss made up his mind and smiled to himself. Still, he couldn't figure out what he was thinking...he can only guess.

"Very well..." Mori finally spoke.

Much to his surprise, Mori agreed to it.

"You are to take responsibility for her actions...though I will say it again, she is not to interfere. This will only be temporary. Do you understand?"

Dazai stared at his Boss, before giving a smirk.

"Understood, Mori-san."

Mori Ougai watched his young executive walked out of his office.

He admired the boy's wit and perception as he felt that Dazai already had a hunch on what he's planning. But it won't be a problem for him because it just made his plans better.
