"Who are you?"

Odasaku arrived at Bar Lupin, expecting to meet the old man whom they contacted in the mafia but found a young man instead. 

"Ah! Hello, Odasaku. It's been a while...is it too early for a drink?" The young man said with a soft smile. 

He don't know him and yet somehow, Oda Sakunosuke felt something similar to him. A subtle similarity with his wife. 

"It's been a while, you said." Odasaku stood still, distancing himself from him. "Have we ever met?" 

Dazai squeezed his glass in kept a smile he's been used to give. "No, it's the first time."

Meeting Yuko earlier made his chest tight but it was bearable thankfully because she instantly knew him, unlike the times where he tried to meet her but not even once where she recognized him. 

He thought he's well-prepared for now, but then he wasn't. Having to meet Odasaku personally was much worse. 

"This is the first time I've come to this bar, the first time I've had a drink here, and the first time I've met you here, Odasaku." 

Oda Sakunosuke looked around the place, trying to see whether if there was anything suspicious or funny.

The bar was small and quiet, warm, and intimate; it was not bad. Assessing the situation more, he realized that it was indeed just the two of them. 

He turned towards the young man beside him. "Just wanted to ask, is 'Odasaku' a nickname of mine?"

Dazai smiled a little, a bit embarrassed. 

"It is..."

"Have you ever been called by that name?" He replied before patting the seat next to him. "Anyway, take a seat."

Odasaku took a seat beside him and ordered a drink for himself. 

"Not really. But my wife's been addressing me that recently. Only her, and then now, you." He answered.

"Oh, a wife. How lovely...I wonder how it feels to be married." The young man commented in a daze.

Odasaku chuckled.

"If you don't have the guts to receive a bomb in the face then I suggest you not to try it."

Hearing him let out a small laugh, Dazai felt an unusual happiness inside him. His expression lightened up for a second.

"It sounds like you're having a hard time." He commented. 

"You could say that." 

"But you love her, right?" 

There was something in the young man's voice that caught Odasaku's attention.

"Of course, they're my family, after all." He replied.

"They?" 

"If I'm successful in getting her pregnant then it's 'they'."

Dazai almost spits out his drink but just coughed instead for a couple of times. 

The boldness of Odasaku surprised him.

"Did that startle you? My bad. I'm not usually chatty." Odasaku puts down his drink, almost face-palming himself for talking too much.
