chapter 33 - Christmas eve (2)

Jason's POV
After staying up all night yesterday, I received the most good news I've received all day, Maddie called this morning telling me Annabelle was finally feeling better, she got out yesterday in the evening so she's feeling much better now, even though she's still having a few mental episode, my dad came to tell us there's a party at their place and we were invited, I just hope everything goes as planned.

I was helping my mom with her cooking, while Emma and Miranda were dressing together, girls and dressing up is something I'll never understand that, we were both silent the whole time, none of us were ready to discuss the situation. So I decided to break it off.

"You know, I still don't get why we have to take something over, it's a party, am sure there's food." I signified the food part with my hands.

"No, never go to a house empty handed." she smiled at me, I was going to miss this what is wrong with you, did I just think about my mom in past tense, am fucking losing it, I just hope am going to be able to handle the stress tonight.

"Oh okay then." I walk out immediately before I lose it, I just couldn't bare to see her like this.

We were about leaving the house, dad kept rushing everyone to leave and it was exhausting, Miranda and Emma got in the car before us all, I was in the room fixing my tie, while my parents were arguing as usual.

"This is my house, so can I have a little bit of my space." I hear my dad say.

"Russo please I can't with you right now," she walked off to the car, I just can't believe him right now, I need to tell him, I can't watch this. Making my way down to meet him, I grab him by the tie really angry, before letting go realising I was letting it get to my head.

"How low will you go to dad, picking up fights isn't the way to go right now," I let go of him aggressively.

"Stay out of this, this is between me and your mother, cause I don't get why she's leaving me with no reason." he added, I had to, don't blame me.

"She's fucking sick dad." I let it out, he looked like the world was falling onto him.

"That's a lie, that can't be true," he alomst fell to the ground "that explains the report, I thought she was pregnant or something but it was the." he looked at me.

"She needs us to be here for her dad, please!" I added before walking out on him.

"Where's your dad?" my mom asked once I was out.

"He's on his way." I take the front sit ignoring the rest. This is going to be a long ride.

We got there like minutes later, the whole place was popping, it was a huge turn out I'd say, classy music was playing everywhere, I could see my dads clients and others having some kind of boring conversation, well time to go find my friends.

I walk through the crowd thinking of where I'd possibly find my friends, Miranda was stuck to me like glue, judging she didn't know anyone, now I feel bad, cause it's like I invited her at the wrong time, I went upstairs and I see my friends by the corridor of Annabelle's room, well here goes nothing.

"Hey guys." I greeted with smiles, giving Alex and Dan the sign to leave, but apparently Anna wasn't there, it was just them and Maddie.

"Nice of you to come by, this must be Miranda." Alex turned to Miranda in a flirty way.

"Alex, ugghh am leaving," Maddie threw a tantrum.

"I was only saying hello." he followed her out of the room leaving me and dan and Miranda.
