"This is Wren, and you're listening to The Bloody Hours Podcast . . . It had been a year since the last time I uploaded a new episode and over the year, I have received countless messages, asking where I am, how I'm doing, whether I'm alive or not. Truth be told, I've been through hell. I brushed with death so often that I wondered if death and I could be just friends. There were moments I thought I won't ever get to return. There were times I wanted just to let go and get it over with, but I'm thankful that I held on, because if I didn't, then I wouldn't have experienced this kind of happiness with the people I love more than myself."

"Wren Marianne Tramwell daw!"

"Sleeping in my class?" Prof Luli gave me a sharp look as she stood next to the whiteboard.

Prof Luli sighed, pointing the board with her marker. "Answer!"

I'm tired of being an asshole, so instead of gloating, I chose to whisper an apology and returned to my seat.

"That's what you get for having a matalinong jowa, pati ikaw, nabasbasan ng katalinuhan," Lindsey teased me while rocking her chair back and forth.

"Give me a break." I sighed.

She grimaced, breathing through gritted teeth.

I shrugged. "He's just too lazy.

"So, kaya puyat ka kasi nag-team review na naman kayo?" she asked, sincerely curious.

"Nah . . ." I shook my head. "Dad was trying to bake some cake for the kids at the orphanage. The three of us had to stay up late to be his little helpers."

"Wow, Tito is such a saint." She chuckled and tilted her head. "Anyare sa inyo ni Donovan?"

I glared at her.

"Mali ba ako?" pang-aasar pa niya.

"Hindi rin matino si Kuya Andros." I sighed. "Last night, imbes na tumulong, nag-ala supervisor pa ang siraulo. He literally ordered Donovan and I around. Ginagawa niyang dahilan 'yung mga kamay niyang road to recovery pa rin."
