The Davies Family
Aleena, Jake, Monica and Marcus all sat at the kitchen table staring at each other.
"Why are we here?" Jake asked.
Marcus leaned forward. "What do you think about you guys coming to live with me?"
They sat quietly for a few seconds. They had been to his home before. It was a house on the other side of town.
"Don't you live on the other side of town?" Aleena asked.
"I know it's far but me and your mom have been thinking about getting married."
"What are you waiting for?" Jake asked.
"We would like to know how you and Aleena feel about it first.
"I'm okay with it."
They looked at Aleena.
"As long as you don't mind letting me use the car to see my friends I'm fine with it."
"Then it's settled." Marcus and Monica smiled at each other. "Aleena it's your birthday next month right? How do you want to celebrate?" Marcus asked.
"I'm going to be in Daytona visiting Antonio for my birthday next month, remember?"
"Well, I guess we could celebrate when you get back. You won't be disappointed I promise."
