Aleena & Monica
Monica knocked in the open door of her daughter's bedroom. Aleena turned away from packing her suitcase.
"Ready to go?"
"Not yet. "There's one more thing I need to do."
Monica sat next to Aleena on the bed. "So you're dating Antonio now huh?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"You guess? I always thought you two would get together eventually. You make a cute couple."
"How come you never told me that?" She asked looking up at her.
"Does it matter?"
"Yes. No one ever said anything, I mean on a serious note. So I never really thought anything of it." Now I wish he had been my first and my only.
"Leena everybody noticed the way he talked to you. All lovey dovey like. You didn't notice that?"
"Well he's been doing that sense we were kids so I was used to it. I thought that was just his personality."
"The whole friendship was intimate. But hey, I guess it's better late than never."
