I knocked on Ms. Bonny's door.
"Hi Aleena." She smiled sadly.
"Hi Ms. B. Will Donovan be here soon?"
"Probably not. He said he didn't want to see you leave. Did you want to say goodbye to him?"
I slipped the ring off of my finger. "When he gets back can you give this to him?"
"Keep it." Donovan said stepping out of his car. "I bought it for you. Keep it."
"I can't keep this."
"I'm not taking it back. I don't want it."
I started to walk off then turned around and hugged him. I hugged Ms. Bonny too. I walked over to Antonio who was waiting for me in his car. I waved goodbye to my family as we pulled off.
"Are you okay?" He asked once I was in the car.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
He put his arm around me and pulled me close.
