Iman's POV

9:30 am

I didn't sleep much last night. Nikki came over to the condo and was banging on the door in the early hours of the morning. I heard some guy in the hallway with him trying to calm him down. I knew that wouldn't work so I decided to take off the nightgown I was wearing and leave it in the hallway for a way for him. It had the scent of my Pink Chiffon lotion on it so I knew that would calm him down a bit and get him to go home. He scared me last night I thought he was going to break the door down.

I finished showering and got ready to go out and meet Derek at his studio. I was honestly exhausted from going to the studio and having all these photo shoots, interviews, and commercials I had to do. I was also still shocked that Derek slapped me yesterday. I wanted to talk to Tamara about it and get her input on the situation.

"Hey, Tammi." I greeted her as she was at the kitchen table drinking coffee and looking through a bunch of papers.

"Hey, sweetie don't you have to head out and meet Derek?" She asked.

"Yes....but I wanted to talk to you first." I sat down at the table with her. "So after I came back from Palm Springs with Jess I went to the studio to meet up with Derek and he got upset that I went and he.....he...he slapped me on my face." I sniffled.

Her eyes went wide, and her mouth parted. She closed the folder that she was reading and stared at me. "O... OK...OK." She says as she turns her chair fully to me. "Did you...did you tell your mom?" She asked.

"No, I'm scared to tell her because she will get angry."

"OK, that's good. Well... what did...what did you do that made him slap you?" She asked.

What did I do?

"I just tried to explain to him that I didn't mean to go to Palm Springs and then he slapped me. I promised to help him at the studio, but I needed a break." I said with confusion.

"OK well let's start there. You promised to help him at the studio, and you broke your promise so he got upset and slapped you."

"Yeah but-"

"Iman when you make a promise to someone you don't break it. Now obviously he shouldn't have hit you, but he didn't mean it. You both did wrong to each other."

"But he hit me," I mumbled.

"And you pulled a no-show on him. Iman, Derek is a good person OK he's not your dad...he's not abusive. He slapped you he didn't beat up on you like your dad did to your mom so don't make this a big deal." She raised her voice. "Now grab your things and go and please do not tell anybody else this do you understand me?" She pointed in my face.

"Yes," I mumbled and got up. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs to Derek's car.

I arrived at the studio and walked inside. I didn't see him inside the studio, so I headed into his office. There were red roses on the table there with a note. I furrowed my brows wondering if they were for me or him.
