Morning
Me and Nikki met up for the two days that I promised him. And honestly, he has changed. I mean he is still cocky, egotistical, annoying, and a hole. But for the most part, he's been treating me right. I haven't let down my walls yet, or let him hold my hand, or even kiss me anywhere. I still had my doubts about him, but so far, the two days that we've gone out have made me happy.
Today was the Dr. Feelgood album release party. I needed something nice to wear so I asked Jess to come out shopping with me because we were both going. She wouldn't be my first choice because her taste in fashion is just terrible, but she's the only one who knows that me and Nikki are talking as friends.
"What about this?" Jess asks as she picks up a long green dress.
"Um, I like that dress but not for this occasion. I need something to make me stand out. Something to say Iman Darlington is stepping out bitches." I giggled. "Sorry excuse my language."
"Ok, I'll keep this dress here." She walks over to another rack and starts skimming through the dresses. "So... are you and Nikki together or-"
"I dunno, I mean he's changed. Like yesterday when we went out, he took me bowling. And every girl in that place was just staring at him in his tight leathers as he bent down. I swear they would have killed me if security wasn't there. It was pretty funny." I laughed. "But it made me happy because he didn't look at the other girls, he didn't take his eyes off of me."
"How?"
"Yeah, really." I chuckle.
"Well, it seems like he's trying."
"Yeah, I know, but he, really, really hurt me, Jess. Like that tour was a nightmare I never want to relive again. And it's like every time I see him that's all I think about. I just feel torn and broken."
"Well, you can fix broken things." She smiled.
"But is it ever really the same afterward?" I ask.
She sighed and rubbed my arm. "What about Slash?"
"Yeah, that's another thing that I haven't gotten to yet."
"Well if you're going to forgive Nikki you should forgive him as well."
"I know." I sigh. "I'll call his mom up sometime this week or maybe next to get his number. Last I heard Guns N Roses were on tour. So, I'm not sure when he will be back."
"Hi, Miss. Darlington." The store manager walked over towards me. "We just got this dress in. It's a beautiful white Versace dress with matching heels. I thought you might like it."
I looked at the dress and it was so beautiful. "Who else has this dress?"
"No one...right now. It just came in as a sample." She smiled.
