"Ms. Darlington?"

No response.

"Ms. Darlington!"

No response.

"Iman, you're not focussing!" My photographer growled.

"S... sorry." I shook my head, staring directly at the camera.

"No, I said to turn to the right so I can capture the plumpness of your lips." He sighs with frustration.

I apologize again and turn to the right. Pouting my lips and giving a sexy face that probably looked more like I was constipated.

"Alright, I think we should call it." My photographer says as he stops snapping shots of me.

"How many shots do we have?" I furrow my brows.

"Three, and we've been here for five hours." He asks.

I exhaled deeply, almost rubbing my face, but realized I had so much makeup on. I get up from where I was sitting and look at the pictures. They were horrible. I was continuing or at least trying to continue with my lip kits. The release date was coming up shortly, and I needed to get them done. But I just couldn't concentrate.

"Look, we can do -"

"You should get some rest or take some time off. You're distracted. And with all due respect, you're wasting your time and mine."

I stare at him, clenching my jaw but relaxing, knowing that he's right. My head was all here now.

"Okay." I nod.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep

Hearing my pager, I walk over to where my clothes are and see that it's the office.

Theresa.

I walk into my small office to dial Darling Cosmetics while watching everyone start to pack up and leave. Five hours and three pictures. Unbelievable.

"Darling Cosmetics Theresa speaking."

"Hi, Theresa, it's Iman. You paged?"

"Uh yes... so um... Nikki's here."

I tense up and dry gulp.

"What for?"

"He says that he's missing something from his order."

"No, he's not missing anything. Darling Cosmetics doesn't make mistakes with any orders."

"Well, he said he didn't get everything. He's sitting here right now with all the boxes he did get."

"Theresa, he got everything. I don't make mistakes or miss items. That's why my company is thriving. We're not incompetent."

I hear her repeating what I said to him.

"He's asking when you'll be in."

"I'm not coming in today. I'm busy with photoshoots and my makeup kits."

I hear her again repeat my words to him.

"Iman, he's asking about his missing items -"

"Nothing is missing, now I have to go. Bye." I say with a hesitant voice.

I hung up the phone and walked back out.

"Stop packing!" I demanded. "We're continuing with the shoot!"

They all stare at me with shock and blank expressions.

"Set back up! Now!" I growled with anger.

They walked back slowly, placing the props and kits on the ground while staring at me and talking amongst themselves in a hushed tone.
