------

Watching the green haired moss head from a far, you leaned onto the tree, with watchful eyes. After awhile, you watched as he collapsed onto the ground, exhausted from fighting the baboons, again. Quietly, you jumped from the tree, making your way back into the castle.

Boots tapping into the tile floors, you opened the door, as the smell of candle wax and wine emited the air.

"Failed again?"

Blinking your (e/c) glowy orbs at him, you let out a sigh,"Of course, why else would I come here, Mihawk?"

Sipping his wine, he hummed as he read his book,"Is that ghost girl with him?"

Leaning on the door frame, you looked at the floor, eyes closed,"She has her own training to do," opening your eyes up at him, your eyes glinted in the moonlight,"She's not Roronoa's caretaker."

Turning his glowy golden eyes at you, he looked back at his book. Not commenting back.

-

"Hararararara!"

Looking up, you watched as Perona flew into the kitchen,"You're here earlier than usual, Perona."

"Hararara," floating next to you, she smiled,"You said we were doing cooking lessons today, of course I'll arrive early, baka!"

Shutting your book close, you sat up from your seat,"Shall we get started then?"

Nodding, she obediently followed and listened to all your instructions.

After lessons were over, you left her alone, as she tried to learn herself on what was given to her.

Walking down the dimly lit halls, you spotted a limping Roronoa, walking around lost. Brows raised, you followed after him.

Catching up, you spoke close to his ear,"Lost?"

Spooked, he stumbled to the side, as he stared at you with wide eyes. Letting out a sigh of relief, he stared into your large (e/c) glowy eyes,"Just you."

Blinking at him, your watchful eyes pierced into his soul, giving him chills.

Tilting your head, you stared at his face,"Where might you be headed today, Roronoa?"

Grunting, Zoro looked away,"I was looking for Mihawk."

Head straight, you turned your head towards the dark halls,"He's not here today."

Looking at you with shock, he frowned,"So what am I to do today?"

Turning to him, you have him an offer,"I can train you."

Raising an uncertain brow, he squinted at you,"Can you even use swords?"

-

"ARGH!"

Zoro fell down, spitting blood, as he held his stomach.

Wooden stick pointed at him, your eyes glowed,"Too slow."

Staggering up, he glared at you,"H-how can a simple, weak wooden stick hurt me so much!?" He growled out.

Lifting it, you had it pointed at Zoro at eye level,"Anything can be deadly, if you learn how to use it properly, Roronoa."

-

Carrying the moss head on your back, you spotted Mihawk walking back into the castle.

Sensing your presence, he turned towards you,"You've been with Roronoa?"

Walking past him, you pushed the door open, giving him the silent treatment.

Laying Zoro on his bed, you attended to his wounds, mainly of deep splinters and cuts. Wrapping up the last wound, you exit his room, shutting the door quietly behind you. Turning your head, you stared into another glowy pair, right infront of you.

Blinking, you hushly spoke,"Move."

Standing in place, Mihawk intensely stared at your eyes,"Why are you training him?"

Not wanting to let him think he's more dominant, you held firm as well,"You weren't here."

"It's my job, not yours." He said.

"Then take responsibility." You replied.

"You are to take care of ghost girl and nothing else." He retorted.

"Is it because I am a woman, who you think is incapable of fighting?" You returned back, with a bit of hurt.

With silence between you, you finally gave in.

Sighing, you walked around him towards your room,"Breakfast won't be served tomorrow."

-

Entering the dining room, Perona and Zoro looked about confused.

"Where's our breakfast?" Zoro asked.

Finger on her chin, Perona floated towards Mihawk, who is silently reading and drinking wine as usual,"Where's, Y/n-sama?"

Not looking at her, he flipped a page,"No clue, don't care."

Humming, Perona took charge and made breakfast.

The day has been very slow and more gloomy than usual.

Perona had been practicing her cooking and baking skills, as well as improving her ghost abilities. Zoro has been non-stop fighting the baboons and only returning when passed out, carried by Perona.

Sitting quietly in his room, Mihawk stared at his empty glass and wine bottle. The light shining through his window, reflected onto his glass and to his book cover.

Finger laced with each other, he was quietly thinking about things. He lost track of time and never knew how long he's been shut in his own room.

Until Perona began crying out loudly.

Getting up from his seat, he walked down to the front of the mansion, where he saw Perona hugging you in tears, as well as Zoro next to you, asking you questions.

Looking up to see the man, you wanted to always forget within your heart, you gave him a small nod.

Slowly walking to you, he stood a good distance away,"Welcome back."

Giving him a hum in reply, you silently walked past him, as Perona and Zoro stared in silence.

Staring ahead of him, Mihawk couldn't help but clench his fist,"Y/n."

Hearing him say your name, you hesitated before continuing on,"There's been many gloomy days lately, hasn't there, Mihawk?"

Body tensing a bit, he stayed silent.

"Dinner will be ready soon." You called to them.
