Queen Kimiko observed her nervous son. A frown was etched onto her features as she watched him fidget so anxiously. It was going to be the young boy's first time being away from his parents. She let out a sigh of exasperation when (M|n) placed his hand onto her own and asked for the umpteenth time, "Why can't I come with you, mama?"

She turned to face him, repeating the same line once again. "Me and your papa have a banquet to attend to with another kingdom. We decided that we weren't going to bring you since there's no children there. Me and your papa thought it would be better to leave you here in this kingdom, where there's many kids you can play with." Kimiko murmured. She ran her slender, (s|c) fingers through (M|n)'s (h|l), (h|c) hair.

Kimiko and Atsushi both knew the kingdom well and trusted that the numerous princes and single king could take care of their precious son. No other kingdom knew the truth about Kingdom Lamentation. Queen Kimiko and King Atsushi, however, knew their dark secret. This kingdom was ruled by demons and the inhabitants were all different types of demons.

The reason why their Kingdom Aretopia still existed was because they made a pact with Kingdom Lamentation. They would keep their secret of their true forms if they made an alliance with them and protected their kingdom if they were ever under attack.

Kimiko knew all the princes in the castle so well. Their parents had passed away in the Great War, where many lives were lost. Lucifer — who was now king — was left to care for his six brothers, who all possessed different types of characteristics and personalities. Kimiko could see (M|n) becoming amiable with all of them.

(M|n) pouted as his mother pulled him into a hug. "(M|n), don't fret. It will only be for the day. I promise that your papa and I will pick you up around nightfall." (M|n) averted his eyes. Kimiko could see that the boy was thinking of further complaints to pose to her.

After a lot of deliberation, he made the decision to stay quiet instead. He shuffled out of his mama's arms and turned to stare out the window. Kimiko gazed at her son's profile, wondering what type of man he would come to be in the future. Her previous frown slowly perked upwards into a beautiful, elegant smile.

She hoped that he would find love and the kingdom that he ruled would prosper. The carriage that the trio sat in finally came to a stop. Atsushi grabbed his son's hand and planted a kiss onto his forehead.

"Don't be scared. You'll be fine. The males who live in the castle are very friendly. Me and your mama have met them before." King Atsushi murmured reassuringly, placing the palm of his hand against (M|n)'s cheek. The boy still appeared unsure.

Kimiko ushered (M|n) out of the carriage. They were helped down before they made their way to the entrance. A raven-haired male stood there and greeted them. His eyes were as red as cherries. He bowed.

"Good morning, ma'am. I see you've brought (M|n) today." The male stated politely.

(M|n) didn't like it here. Not. One. Bit. Nervously, he gnawed on his lower lip. He clung to his mama's hand tightly, peeking at the other from behind his mama's legs.
