Snow was beginning to settle in the Devildom. (M|n) shivered, wrapping his arms tightly around himself. It had been at least six months since he had arrived here. He'd become accustomed very well to this place.

He couldn't see himself at all without the demon brothers at this side. . . (M|n) let out a yelp as a snowflake plonked itself onto his nose. Yet again, snowfall was occurring. . . But he wasn't back at the House of Lamentation just yet!

The male had just left a store, having bought a present for Belphegor. He'd accidentally sat on the sleeping demon the other day, and he'd ended up hurting him and disturbing his sleep. Ever since then, Belphie had been acting stroppy with him. . . He hoped that this gift may help them reconcile.

(M|n) had suddenly come up with the idea whilst resting in bed. He hurried out to the shops without really thinking about what he would wear. He'd thrown on a pair of grey joggers, and a black, long-sleeved shirt.

It was like he'd completely forgotten how the weather had been like lately. The coldness was beginning to make his fingertips feel numb. (M|n) cursed under his breath when a frosty wind blew over him, making him only more colder than he already was.

The human's teeth began to chatter of their own accord. (M|n) was startled out of his skin when a warm jacket fell onto his shaking shoulders.

With wide eyes, (M|n) turned to look at the person who'd given him this jacket. The male stared in recognition at the demon who smiled bashfully at him.

(M|n) couldn't help but smile at his unexpected appearance. This was a demon (M|n) was close friends with. A demon besides the demon brothers. This kind demon had showed him around when he first arrived at RAD, and helped him out in school whenever he needed it.

(M|n) was very appreciative that he had a demon like this as a friend. He was honestly surprised at how close they'd become. It was almost automatic now that he would smile whenever he saw him.

Damien apologised. "Sorry for startling you, you just looked so cold. I didn't expect to run into you here." (M|n) chuckled softly.

"Me neither. How are you doing?" (M|n) mumbled. Damien grinned.

"Doing great actually." (M|n) tried to take the jacket off. Damien planted his hands on (M|n)'s shoulders, preventing it from moving.

"Keep it on. I'm wearing thicker layers, unlike you. Just take it for now. You can return it to me later. . . Say, are you heading back to the House of Lamentation? If so, I'll escort you. I have nothing better to do to be honest with you." (M|n) nodded his head.

"Sure." (M|n) and Damien walked side-by-side, chatting happily. The human had never felt so at ease beside a demon who wasn't any of the brothers before. Damien was one of the first friends he'd made that didn't live in the House of Lamentation.

He couldn't believe just how chivalrous and kind this demon was. (M|n) was looking straight ahead as he was speaking. He didn't notice the momentary expression of longing on the other's face. (M|n) soon became quiet, letting a comfortable silence settle over them.

The silence with Damien was never awkward. It was always relaxing. (M|n) came to a stop once he realised that he was close to the House of Lamentation. He turned to Damien with a gracious smile.
