(M|n) crawled amongst the blood-stained snow, trying not to cry out in pain. His frost-bitten fingers refused adamantly to listen to his desperate commands.

The human collapsed to the ground, coughing violently. How many people from his squadron had he lost?. . .

"It's all because of me." (M|n) whispered in a trembling voice. He had concocted a plan. The plan to escape this war. He thought that he had successfully found a way to evade enemy grasp whilst finally being free from this bloodshed.

However, all he did was lead them to their deaths. Whenever he inhaled or exhaled, all he could taste was blood.

The boy could no longer move. His body succumbed to the cold weather, surrendering all of his movement. He was left alone in the icy breeze.

(M|n) wearily stood in front of his classroom. He didn't feel like going to lessons today. His sleep schedule had been erratic and he hardly got any sleep. . . Nightmares were plaguing him constantly, and the things that he usually found solace in no longer comforted him.

He felt fearful to confide in any of the demon brothers or other exchange students because he did not want to burden them with his feelings. So, he kept everything to himself. But the result of sparing the others' feelings meant he was bottling up all of these negative emotions and they were slowly beginning to take a toll on his mental health.

The male clenched his teeth, reaching out towards the door handle before stopping himself when his hand was just shy of the door. He couldn't do it. Today just wasn't his day. He quickly turned on his heel and started walking in the opposite direction. He didn't think he would be able to cope with the stares if he entered the already full classroom.

He dragged his feet as he pondered over what he should do in this free time that he just created for himself. . . The human was so distracted by his thoughts that he didn't notice the demon up ahead. Not until he crashed into them.

(M|n) let out a pained grunt as he stumbled backwards. "Sorry-" (M|n) started but he stopped himself short when he recognised the face in front of him immediately. What was Lucifer doing here?! Wasn't he supposed to be in a lesson too? (M|n) didn't expect anyone but Mammon to not be in lesson. . . The question slipped past his lips before he could stop himself.

"L-Lucifer, what are you doing here?" (M|n) hadn't spoken yet today and he was beginning to realise that his voice was close to betraying his current inner turmoil. He tried to clear his voice without making it seem too obvious as Lucifer eyed him suspiciously.

"I had an important meeting with Lord Diavolo so I had to skip out on a lesson. . . Why are you out of lesson?" Lucifer queried as he stared (M|n) down, awaiting an answer. The human didn't know what to do at this very moment. Should he lie or just tell Lucifer the truth? He sighed, knowing his obvious response. Lucifer seemed to always see through him, leaving him no room to even attempt to lie.

(M|n) clutched his hands tightly together behind his back, taking his time to give Lucifer a truthful response. "I. . . Don't feel in the mood for lessons today. I'd rather just lay in bed." (M|n) averted his eyes as he said this, hoping that Lucifer wouldn't force him to go back to his lesson.
