Context: You're stressed and can't do much in school because of something you learned about your brother in the human world. Lucifer assumes that you're just being lazy like Mammon and scolds you for your falling grades. . .

(M|n) stared at his reflection on the rippling lake that he sat in front of. His eyes displayed sadness and worry. He pulled his knees close to his chest as a frown formed on his thin lips. He let out a shaky breath, trying not to let the tears take hold of him.

Lately, he hadn't been able to focus on any work in RAD. He was stressed about his younger brother back in the human world. He had managed to make contact with them a month back and he found out that Arthur, his only brother, had fallen very ill. He couldn't move a muscle from his hospital bed and he begged to see his older brother.

(M|n) had asked Lord Diavolo numerous times whether he could go to the human world to see his family, alas, Lord Diavolo informed him that he couldn't just come and go as he pleased. There were certain conditions that had to be met if anyone wanted to go between worlds.

Diavolo said he would start preparations for a two-week visit but it couldn't be done with just a snap of his fingers. It would take quite some time, meaning that (M|n) couldn't quell his worries about his poor, sick brother.

Instead, he had to stay in the Devildom, filled to the brim with worry. He hadn't told any of the brothers about what he was going through, not wanting to burden them with his issues.

He bottled up everything he was feeling, and it was beginning to take a toll on him, both mentally and physically. He found it hard to focus in his lessons, and his grades were suffering because of it.

(M|n) had actually left halfway during a test today simply because none of the answers were coming to him. He had ended up here, at this beautiful lake that Satan had shown him quite some time ago. Coming here soothed his frayed nerves a bit and helped him relax.

He squeezed his eyes shut, burying his face into his hands. How much longer would this go on for? He hated feeling like this, and he just knew that Lucifer wasn't going to be pleased once seeing his grades. He dreaded having to see him. Who knew what he'd do? He punished Mammon thoroughly whenever he was slacking in lessons.

He gritted his teeth. The demon didn't understand what he was going through. . . He pondered upon whether he should tell him or not. He shook his head after a few minutes of thinking. No, it would be better to keep it to himself. . . Was what he thought at first.

💙 Lucifer's POV 💙

Lucifer sifted through the grade cards he'd gotten from RAD. He let out a small sigh at Mammon's report card. It was the usual, average grades. The demon hardly tried. . . He would scold him thoroughly and tell him to try harder and get Satan to tutor him but Mammon paid his words no mind.

His eyes moved over to (M|n)'s report card. It was shocking to see his current grades. He was doing so well at the start of his year at RAD, but now his grades were slowly slipping. What he saw was so alarming that he talked to the human's teachers.

They all told him about (M|n)'s dismissive behaviour towards lessons and tests. Apparently he even walked out on a test because he didn't want to do it! He was going to have a word with him once he returned.

(M|n) was out somewhere right now, and none of his brothers knew of his whereabouts, however, he trusted (M|n) to return safely.

He sat patiently in his study, working as he waited for (M|n)'s return. Around late at night, he heard rustling from the front door. He raised his eyes from his documents. He put them to one side and crossed his arms over his chest, a stern expression taking over his face as he stared at the open door.
