Context: You wake up in a daze. All you remember is being kidnapped and brutally attacked by lower-level demons. . .

Was he too late?! He couldn't be. . . Lucifer panted as he got rid of the last lower-level demon who stood in his way. (M|n) was here, he could feel it. . . He couldn't believe that he let these demons see what his weakness was! If he had kept his distance from (M|n) and didn't hang out with him all the time, then maybe this wouldn't have happened.

With a shaky breath, he took a flight of stairs. He came to a halt on the last step when he saw the sight before him. (M|n)'s body was bathed in blood. His poor, (s|c) skin was littered with cuts and bruises.

He felt choked up as he stared at the human that he'd learned to love. He could feel strong grief washing over him as he observed the body painted in red. It was like the time Lilith passed away. . .

He hurried to (M|n)'s side. He knelt before the barely breathing boy and cradled his body in his arms, not caring if he stained his clothes. He let out a small cry as he checked for a pulse. It was there, but very weak.

On closer inspection, he realised that those bastard demons had stabbed (M|n) in the chest multiple times. It was almost a miracle that the human was still alive. Lucifer gripped (M|n)'s hand, which was slowly becoming colder.

The touch brought (M|n) to life. His eyes shot open. Pain consumed Lucifer's expression as (M|n) writhed in agony in his arms.

"L-Lucifer, it hurts." (M|n) gasped in a shaking voice. Lucifer reached out to stroke his cheek.

"I-I know, I know. . . Stay with me. I'm here now. I'll get you to the House of Lamentation where we can deal with your wounds." Lucifer stumbled up, holding the frail body close to his chest. (M|n) was staring up at him. . . With a sad smile.

"Lucifer, I won't. . . Survive this. It's my time to go. . ." (M|n) mumbled, his eyes constantly fluttering, threatening to close completely. Lucifer gritted his teeth as he exited the crumbling building that (M|n) had been brought to.

"Don't say stuff like that. You will survive." Lucifer had never clung onto hope so desperately like this. He didn't think that he would become so attached to a mere human. He gripped the body in his arms tightly.

(M|n) let out a bitter chuckle. With a trembling, bruised hand, he reached out and touched Lucifer's cheek. (M|n) smiled with tears in his eyes.

"Thank you for always being here for me, Lucifer. . . I honestly don't know what I'd do without you. You showed me so many beautiful things. I thought that the Devildom was a scary place at first. I thought that I'd never be able to be happy here. You. . . Changed my perspective. I l-love the Devildom, and I-" (M|n) couldn't finish his sentence.

He let out a shuddering gasp. Lucifer's eyes shot down to (M|n)'s face. The poor human was struggling to breath.

"(M|n)!" Lucifer shouted to the boy, urging him to stay awake. (M|n), however, couldn't hang on any longer. His body fell limp in Lucifer's arms. His arm loosely hung at his side. Lucifer began to run faster and faster.

He was not going to let (M|n) die!
