I've had this idea for awhile now, like a few days.
Izuku is a bird hybrid of some kind, he's a mix between a few different ones, but the main ones are parrot and some kind of song bird.
He was sold to a very wealthy family when he was still a hatchling for their kid's birthday.
The kid was very cruel to izuku, he would command him to sing and then insult him. Tell him to shut up constantly and eventually would start hitting izuku.
The kids parents knew what he was doing and they didn't care, it was just a hybrid they could always gatcanother one.
One day the kid took izuku and just left him on the streets, he never learned to fly and was to scared to try speaking so he just sat there, unable to do anything.
He got picked up by someone and the cycle repeated two more times before Aizawa found him.
Aizawa runs a rehab home for abused hybrids and izuku is the worst case he's seen since Shoto.
