This was a suggestions by @HumbleBeanFarmer

Izuku having quirks that let's him talk to ghost/lost spirits and help them move on to the afterlife and after they move on he gets their quirk or a general quirk of that sort. I.e. he helps two ghosts with fire quirks and they combine into one instead of being separate.

They, uh.. they suggested this to me months ago and I completely forgot about it until they messaged me again about the idea. Again I'm reall sorry for forgetting about this idea.

I'm going to change how the quirk works a bit, than be exactly what they suggested.

Izuku's quirk: Spirit Master - The user can see, hear, and in some cases touch spirits (I.e. Ghosts, willow wisps, Yokai, ect.). If the user forms a bond with the spirit they will gain a minor version of their ability(s). In the case of ghost and lost spirits if the user helps them move on the user will gain their full quirk. In the case of similar quirks/abilities being gained they will absorb each other, making both abilities/quirks able to be used as part of the same power.

Downside: Spirits are everywhere, most keep to themselves, either under the assumption that no one can see them or they just prefer to be alone; that is not always the case. 'Evil', 'Bad' or 'Tainted' spirits exist and often go out of their way to cause harm to others, if they realize the user, they can wreak havoc on their mind, physical body, possessions, friends and family (Both spirit and alive). The user also gains the drawbacks of any power they've obtained via a bond or by helping a spirit pass on.

Overuse: The user is prone to eye strain, headaches, nosebleeds, and over all illnesses. The quirk revolves around the user's life in general, if they don't care for themself properly their health can and will rapidly decline, making them an easier target for 'Evil' spirits.

Now, we all know Izuku is absolute shit at taking care of himself, so we all know how that's gonna go.

The L.O.V. in this are all dead or something similar.

Touya (Dabi)?
Burned alive by his own quirk during a training session with Endevwhore.

Toga?
A yandere who went on a killing spree after her 'Senpai' was killed in a hate crime. She ended up getting shot before reaching her actual targets.

Tenko?
A child spirit who ended up killing his whole family after his quirk manifested. No one helped him when he was alone and he ended up starving to death.

Kurogiri?
A servant of death herself tasked with making sure Izuku takes care of himself and doesn't die due to his quirk.

(I don't have ideas for the remaining LOV members [not counting AFO] feel free to suggest)

Izuku both does and doesn't want to be a hero.

His quirk makes him able to be extremely powerful, perfect for being a hero some might say.

But, his quirk does deal with death and the afterlife as a whole, not to mention he is seen as a pretty weird person to begin with. Causing people to most stear clear of him.

Those that don't know about his quirk (The vast majority of people) think he's crazy because he talks to himself all the time.

Ok, granted he does talk to himself, but that's when hes focused on taking notes, every other time hes talking to a spirit, hes not crazy he swears!

People aren't really inclined to believe that though, considering the amount of cold cases he's solved by digging up dead bodies..

Tsukauchi is the one that recommends Izuku into UA. Normaly, it's only heroes that recommend people in and actually get accepted, but Izuku us a 'special' case. Nezu was planning on offering a spot to the kid in any course he wanted, just so he could pick his brain on how his quirk works.

Izuku at the recommendation exams has to calm down Touya from a panic attack because of his Dad being there, and also seeing what he's done to his brother.

Izuku comes second in the exams, just after Inasa, causing Todo to be bitter at the both of them like the salty bitch he was in season one.

Before they have to return to their guardians Izuku goes over to Todo and hands him a locket that belongs to Touya (All the Todoroki siblings have one from Rei) and literally just says, "I know what hes doing to you and your family. You'll be free soon, I promise." And then he just leaves, all ominous and shit.

Anyway the ship for this, I'm thinking TokoDeku. Probably gonna make Tokoyami more human with different bird features cause I dont know how to write his face. Idk, I'll figure it out.

I'll add more to this later,  like I said before its 4am fir me rn and I need sleep.
