Chapter 48

I climbed out of bed, and walked downstairs. I needed to tell my mom about this plan that I have, and I needed to tell her right away, so that I could get a plan ticket, and be there sooner than later.

"Mom." I called, as I through the kitchen.

"In the living room sweetheart." She replied, and I made my way into the living room, and sat down.

"Can we talk?" I asked her.

She looked at me, and than nodded, and turned off the tv. "Whats wrong?" She asked.

"I need to get Cameron back. We've been fighting constantly since I've came back home, and we aren't on speaking terms right now. Mom I can't handle that, I love him so much that not talking to him is killing me." I said as I took a short pause, "I need to go back to California." I added.

She looked at me with a blank expression. "Sophia what about school." Of course she would asked that. Since she thinks school is like do or die situation.

"I know mom. But it can wait. I will finish school another way, but I need to go back to Cameron. I need him, and I love him." I said strictly.

"Soph you can't just put school on hold. It doesn't work like that either you go or you just let your life go down hill." She said. "I didn't raise a daughter like that."

"Mom you know out of everyone that I mostly raised myself. You were always working, and don't get me wrong I appreciate that because I have never struggled, but you were never really around. I can handle school I'll think of something, but this choice of mine to meet Cameron is happening whether you like it or not. Don't you understand how unhappy I am and have been recently." I protested.

She just sat there looking outside the window ignoring me, something she always does. I sighed.

"I leave tomorrow. Tonight I am staying at Samantha's, and her dad is driving me to the airport. I have the money and everything. I will be okay. I am old enough to handle myself." I said as I got up and headed upstairs.

"So you are leaving tomorrow around six." Samantha dad, Mr. Collins, asked.

"Yes. And thank you so much Mr. Collins for taking me. I very much so appreciate it." I said as I took off my shoes, and headed upstairs to Samantha's room.

"Hey." Samantha said. "Does Cameron know you are coming?"

"No." I said simply. I didn't tell Cameron because I want to do this. This is my choice, and I don't want anyone telling me to stop.

"Be safe ok?" Samantha said in a serious way. I nodded.

I just arrived to California, and I told Matthew to come get me from the airport. I have only told him about me coming here, and he swore not to tell any of the other boys. He was happy that I decided to do this, because he thinks it's the right thing.

"Soph!" Matthew screamed as he saw me walking into the airport.

I smiled and hugged him, "Hey bud. Thanks for doing this."

"Of course. I would love to see Cameron happy again, and you need this also. Just know that Madison is out of the picture. After you called he and her got into a big fight, and she left." Matthew informed me. I nodded.

I looked at my outfit. I had Adidas sweats on, and a white loose top. My hair was in a extremely messy bun, and I didn't have makeup on.

"Matthew let me change in the back of your car please." I said as I chuckled a little.

He nodded, and we got to his car. I kept on the loose top, and put on some black shorts, and put my red vans with the outfit. I brushed my hair out, and put it into a high ponytail. I only applied mascara, and water-line-eyeliner.

"Okay I am done." I said.

After about ten minutes we arrived to the house. I started getting butterflies.

"Breathe. Everything will be fine." Matthew reminded me before we got out the car.

"What if he doesn't care about me anymore. I told him I never wanted to talk to him, and that we needed a break from talking." I sighed.

"Stop with the crazy talk. He is madly in love with you. He constantly talked about you. We all know he misses you as much as you miss him." Matt said. My cheeks heated. He actually does care about me. He's been going through the same amount of pain I've been going through.

I took a deep breath. "Ok. Let's go."
