"Pete, we've been searching all morning." Susan said with a quiet sigh, re-adjusting her grip on the food bag she was carrying. "Don't you at least want to stop and rest for a while."

Peter took a deep breath and turned to face his sister, dropping the rather big bag with the tent in and shaking his head. "I can't." He mumbled. "I actually can't. I need to find him, now."

Susan's eyes filled with tears as she watched Peter turn back around and yell his brothers name, his voice cracking way too much for Susan's liking.

With a sigh Susan slumped against a nearby tree, absolutely exhausted already. She did though still scan the surrounding area for any sign of her younger brother, but of course found nothing.

She let her arms drop to her side, and frowned when he fingers met something soft and... ripped?

Glancing down she found a small piece of material, which had obviously been ripped from larger piece, although she didn't know why.

"What is it?" Peter asked, turning to find her frowning at the floor.

Susan looked up at him and held up the piece of material. "I found this." She said slowly, standing and walking over to Peter.

Peter took the material from her hand and stared at it.

There was silence for rather a long while before Peter's eyes widened. "It's from the tunic Edmund was wearing." He practically whispered.

Susan frowned. "How can you be sure?" She asked.

Peter took a deep breath. "Oh I'm sure." He breathed. "Clever boy." He muttered under his breath before scanning the surrounding area, grinning to himself when he spotted a footprint beside a nearby tree. "They went that way." He announced, nodding his head in the direction the footprint was.

"He really is clever." Susan mumbled, following quickly after Peter as he grabbed the bag and ran off in the direction he'd nodded.

They continued on for almost another two hours before Peter slowed to a stop.

"What's wrong?" Susan asked, looking slightly confused.

Peter sighed. "We don't even know if we're going in the right direction anymore." He mumbled, rubbing his eyes and blinking back tiredness.

Susan sighed too. "We can only hope I guess." She replied, placing her hand lightly on Peter's back and giving him a reassuring smile.

"I guess so." Peter choked, before they both continued walking.

"Orious?" Lucy asked as she walked over to the centaur, a small frown spread across her face.

"Yes your majesty?" Orious replied, a small smile across his face.

Lucy stared up at him as she spoke. "Where are Peter and Susan?" She asked, unable to hide the small amount of worry in her voice. "I've been looking for them practically all morning."

Orious stared at her for a moment before reluctantly answering her. "They've gone in search of King Edmund." He said slowly.

Lucy's eyes went slightly wider at this. "Wait, you didn't go with them?" She asked.

Orious sighed a little. "I'm afraid I was ordered to stay behind." He said. "And I'm not one to disobey an order from the High King."

"Well Peter's not here anymore." Lucy said firmly.

"I beg your pardon?" Orious asked, looking confused.

"I want food, tents and anything else we might need packed immediately." Lucy said. "Enough of everything to last us as many weeks as possible."

"May I ask why, your majesty?" Orious said slowly.

"We're gonna find Peter and Susan," Lucy said firmly. "And then we're going to find Edmund."

"Done." Peter muttered as he finished setting up the small tent, actually looking quite proud of himself.

Susan smiled slightly from where she was cooking in a pan over the campfire she'd built. "Come and have something to eat." She said gently. "It'll be dark soon I expect."

Peter nodded a little and sat beside his sister, who dished him up some food and handed it to him. "Thanks." He mumbled, beginning to slowly eat.

Susan did the same and the two sat in silence for a long while, before it actually was dark.

"We should probably get some sleep." Susan sighed. "If we want to be up early in the morning."

Peter nodded in agreement, slowly standing and setting about putting out the fire.

Once that was done, he and Susan entered the tent, Peter removing his cloak and sitting down heavily on his hammock.

"We'll find him Peter." Susan said gently, sitting on the edge of hers. "I promise we will."

Peter stared at her for a moment before slowly nodding his head. "As I've said before," He said slowly. "Of course we will, because I won't stop searching until he's home. Home and safe."

Susan gave him a soft smile before laying down and pulling the blanket up to her chin. "Goodnight Peter." She murmered.

Peter didn't lay down, and instead just sat there. "Night Su." He sighed.

Susan frowned a little. "You will get some sleep won't you?" She asked hesitantly, looking rather quite worried.

Peter took a deep breath. "I'll try." He mumbled. "Don't worry."

Susan didn't look at all pleased by this answer. "Peter." She sighed.

"Promise Su." Peter interrupted. "I promise I'll try and sleep."

Susan nodded a little. "Alright." She said. "But I'm trusting you, and if i find out you haven't slept-"

"Su?" Peter said, a smirk on his face.

"Yeah?" Susan replied.

"Just go to sleep." Peter said with a quiet chuckle.

Susan couldn't help but smirk at him a little before turning over and allowing her eyes to slowly slip shut.

Peter watched her for at least half an hour, making sure she was fast asleep before he climbed into bed and under the covers, wrapping them tightly around himself.

"I will find you Ed." He murmered. "Wherever you are, I promise I will find you."

And with that, he rolled onto his side, closed his eyes and eventually, after almost an hour, drifted off to sleep.
