"Cai!"

I almost tripped while chasing him. Hindi ko nga maintindihan sa sarili ko kung bakit ko ba siya hinahabol, e!

"Saglit!" 

He didn't stopped until he reached the parking lot. Nandoon ang sasakyan ko at nagbukas kaagad ang headlights noon. Kuya Ramon was probably signalling me. Si Caius naman, dire diretso ang lakad at tumigil lang nang makarating sa bench doon.

Sumunod ako sa kanya kahit nahihilo pa. He sat on the bench so I followed him and sat too but with enough space between us.

"Uuwi ka na?" 

Wow, why the hell am I talking to him? Parang hindi ito ang gusto ko noong isang araw ha? Is it because of the alcohol? I think so!

Hindi padin sumagot si Cai kaya sinundot ko na ang bust niya. Agad siyang umilag at naalala ko na may kiliti nga pala siya doon!

"Oh, I'm sorry..." Humagikhik pa ako.

Tinaasan niya naman ako ng kilay nang sumulyap siya sa akin. Agad ding nagiwas ng tingin.

"Sorry na nga, e! but answer me, uuwi ka na ba?" I asked again.

He breathe heavily and nodded without looking at me. Kinuha niya ang phone niya at nagtipa doon habang hawak ang drumstick na may carved ng pangalan niya. I always see it on his posts.

It actually became his trademark. Naisip ko na nga noon na regaluhan siya but I think giving gifts to him is just too much especially that we are not close..

"Hinihintay mo sundo mo?" This is such a hassle to open a topic!

He nodded again. Mukhang hindi na naman siya magsasalita. I don't know what's gotten on me but it's probably the alcohol.

Yes! Blame it on the alcohol! Tama yan!

"I felt so drunk..." I shared, trying to open a topic. "It's my first time to drink! Pakiramdam ko papagalitan ako ni Daddy!"

Parang nawawala na ang control ko sa sarili ko. Ganito ba talaga kapag nalalasing? I hate it. I don't want to talk but my mouth kept on uttering words.

"Mapapagalitan ka talaga," Aniya.

Wow, nagsalita! The earth is changing!

I pouted to hide my smile. Ang sungit niya padin.

Well, what do I expect? He's always like this.. and the last time he approached me, I pushed him away.. and then now, I'd chase him like nothing happened.. I looked like a walking joke.

"Do I smell?"

I asked. I think the smell of the alcohol sticked on my body.

He nodded a bit and then looked at me with his stoic face. He looked so sleepy and tired. Mapupungay na ang mga mata niya at nakadagdag pa doon ang ilaw mula sa lamp post.

"Mapapagalitan talaga ako..." 

I could imagine Daddy's death glares. It gave me shiver! Pinaka ayoko talaga na makikita na nagagalit siya. Natatakot talaga ako!

"I don't know what to do! Should I jump on the pool nalang to wash? But that's gross! Uuwi ako ng basa? Ugh, hassle!"

He sighed heavily while pinching the bridge of his pointed nose.

"Let's just grab some coffee,"

My eyes immediately widened. Huh? Natigilan ako at ultimo paghinga ko halos malimutan ko pa. Nabingi yata ako.

Is he inviting me for a date? A coffee date?

"We'll date? Tonight? Are you asking me for a date?" Sunod sunod kong tanong na nagpasimangot sa kanya. Galit na naman siya!
