"Ikaw naman kasi, puro ka trabaho. Hindi mo na tuloy namalayan na....."

Here's to another day with Caly, welcoming me with his usual advices everytime there's something going on with my career.

"Tigilan mo nga 'ko, Kuya. Ang aga aga pa." I cut him off.

"I'm not doing this to annoy you, brother. I'm just saying you're too attached with your career..."

Napailing ako sa kanya saka dumiretso sa counter top para kumuha ng almusal. I'm not used to waking up late because I usually goes to work early in the morning but since I took another break after my recent movie project, narito ako ngayon at pinapakisamahan ang kuya ko.

"Wala akong ibang pagkakaabalahan bukod sa career ko kaya natural lang na maattached ako, diba?"

He smirked. "I told you to get yourself a girl—"

"Shut it. I'm not having a girlfriend."

"God, Caius! It's been years! Mag girlfriend ka na!"

I sighed heavily and leaned on the counter top to face him. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay saka siya humalukipkip.

"I'm not saying this just because our cousins are getting married, starting off their family or even getting engaged.. I'm saying this because seriously, Cai, time isn't yours. Huwag mong sayangin 'yung panahon." Pahayag niya.

I rolled my eyes, quite annoyed. Sa halip na sumagot, kinuha ko nalang ang sandwich ko at dumiretso sa backyard para doon nalang kumain ng umagahan dahil mukhang hindi naman ako titigilan ni Kuya sa dami niyang opinyon kahit alam kong tama naman siya.

Yes, it's been years. I couldn't remember if it's four or five years since we broke up and she left but I could still remember everything that happened prior to that.. even the silliest thing.

I hate to admit it that despite of the worst things that happened and the things I found out after she left, there's still a part of the past that would make me remember how it felt years ago.

The way how it all started was something I never expected to happen.

She was not my type. She's a brat. Mataray, suplada, akala mo mangaaway kapag hindi napagbibigyan sa gusto. She's also the eye of the crowd, simula nang mag transfer siya sa Hawthorne, walang araw yata na hindi siya napaguusapan ng mga kaklase ko.

Maybe that's why she was somehow imprinted on me. Idagdag pa na palagi niya akong binabati at kinukulit, araw araw niya yatang trip na bwisitin ako.

"She got the guts you're telling me before. Talaga bang hindi mo siya pinapansin o pakitang tao lang na wala kang pakialam?" Faith chuckled beside me when we saw Kestrielle walking passed our classroom.

Faith is my bestfriend. I like being around people who are soft spoken. That's why I was fond of Faith and I even had crush on her way back when we were in elementary but since I'd rather keep her as a friend, hindi ko na hinayaan pang lumalim.

"Kaso si Sofia nga pala ang gusto mo..." She pouted a bit and continued writing her nose.

Yeah. Siguro kaya ko rin nagustuhan si Sofia, because she's soft spoken too. Kaso, masyadong bata para sa akin. I was just in grade six that time and she was in grade four when I had a crush on her but it prolonged 'til we're highschool.

Kestrielle auditioned for the club. My club members have been talking about her since then because of her performance. Natanggap siya. But what surprises me is the fact that she didn't take her slot on our club.

It was nothing to me, actually. But I was expecting her to choose our club since she's been so vocal about her feelings towards me. Alam nga yata ng buong campus kaya marami ring nagulat nang sa theater siya sumali.
