,I'm going to interrupt here, it may send Common off on a rant, but hey sometimes Common can be a pain. Of course Common thinks I'm a pain at times. I don't write fast enough, or I'm not listening. I know this sounds crazy, Common sometimes he just won't quit, I can be at work, and he is talking up a storm.

Folks Mike, showed me around some next mornin.
We wents deeper down, in this place, Mike say we were down close 120 foot. Folks first off Dram12 or that Tim, he told a tall tale. I was ready folks sorry.

He took me ta where, they first started the N.O. One project. Folks, this is what may have scared Norm, it sure scared, the piss an vinegar out me!
Seems this place, was kind of place that people sat around thought up ideas, on new thins like. Well Mike, explained it, this away, say guy wanted ta make a device ta roll cigarettes. This would be the place they would, come up with ways ta do it.

Folks they was a machine, they called Janet. They built this thin, ta look like a lady. Folks that ain't the scary part. Ya see she had cancer, we know what that is folks, no cure nor treatment fer it. The person Janet, not the machine. Sorry ifin I confused ya. Confused myself I did fer a second.

Ya see this Janet, the person not the machine. Didn't have long, ta live so they came up with this idea. Ya see they been workin on how ta record dreams folks. Then store it on, what Mike called RNA. Well these people wanted, ta record this Janet's memories then put it on, that RNA. So she would live, seems this Janet had real well off husband. Guess he was, well off Folks Croft was his Sir name. Croft an Sons Institute, was the company name, Mike say it had several companies that were associated with it.

Ok, folks that was a bit, complicated wasn't it. Simple Common, so even ya understand it. Folks what they did, was take Janet's mind what she was, an moved it ta this machine. No I Ain't tellin no tall one folks, honest this is truth. Now ya saying this couldn't a worked! I am getting ta that, give me a minute.

It did an didn't, the way Mike put it, only the part that reasoned out thins for us went ta the machine.
What was Janet didn't survive, not in the real Janet or the machine. Folks this machine still works! I played a game of checkers with it, beat me three times! Only played three games. It moved and talked like a person folks, it even blinked its eyes.
Fer the most part, it acted like a person.

Folks, they learned ya can't mess, with the mind. Mike say, been better off tryin ta transplant the brain. Folks that mean remove it. Ya know take the brain put it in the machine.  What they did learn was how ta get, N.O. One ta think on its own.

Folks this is where I don't understand any of it. I was lost from the beginning. My name maybe Common, but common sense, tell me I must be rather un-smart. Mike say took him years ta understand, not ta worry ifin I don't.

Ya see, folks this part a Janet they managed ta save.
Well, it's what gots that N.O. One ta think on its own, from that it learned more. Like how ta communicate, reason out problems. Folks it got real smart, smarter than us, in some ways. At least that what Mike say. I asks why Janet didn't get that smart.

Mike say, they never could figure that one out. Janet never progressed past simple games. Mike then smiled, maybe he say, she just didn't like the idea of bein a machine, after they did it. She closed down, some how some part of her made it inta N.O. One. I asks when do I learn bouts this N.O. One?

Mike say, that a be soon, no rush, not as ifin ya have any place special ta be. Folks, I am allowed time off, ain't I. Besides wants ta know what all Norm learned. Mike, did tell me more about this Croft an Son thin. Some on that in bit.

Folks, this is my gut feelin on this Janet thin. May be Mike is right, he told me from all he knew she wanted ta do this. So after, she didn't like it, she just hid herself. Mike say it was four years before they thought of using that part of Janet. Maybe the real Janet, went insane. In that amount of time, or me an Mike are over thinkin this just a touch.
