Part II

Folks, I know that abnormal fear, is just stupid! Been fine, ifin that blame set steps! Didn't shake an wobble! I did manage ta make it all the way down, not stuck holdin on in fear.

Folks don't know why, I fear heights it can be a touch overwhelmin. Sorry, on track now. Fred say after we stepped on the ground, this is just a side tunnel. We walked on folks, Fred a goin on about nothin. Think he just wanted ta sound smart was all. He did have a good voice an sound way a talkin. Fred should been in politics.

We came ta this big sign on the wall, Fred say that star is where, we are ta our left he pointed at the sign, is the Tri-Point long befer it became Tri-City it was always referred ta as Tri-Point or the Points.
This was befer the border wars, that made the 3 point border. Ta our right, is what they call the Lounge, we'll take a look at that on our way back.

We turned left folks, headed fer this tri-point thin. Don't rightfully know what it is, Fred say the Point or the Grand Junction is where we goin. Fred say, we aren't certain, my Pa told me about this place. We explored it fer years, we don't know the why a this place, we thought maybe some kind of, well like a stage depot.

Fred stopped almost the end, this side tunnel. Say when we get ta the end here, we a make a right, an make our way down; what I call the Grand Hallway this will astound ya. Folks this didn't astound me, lets say it went well pass that!

Folks this Grand Hallway, was near 30 foot wide stone floor, looked ta be granite. The ceilin must a been near 30 foot also, it was arched folks. The hall gradually went down hill ta the right. Fred say we go left that would end just pass, the city hall. That end is sealed up. Ya can't even tell the tunnel ends, who ever sealed it, did a good job of hidin it.

As I walked, Fred say ifin ya look up, the top is painted, ta look like clouds an such. Folks it was why, it looked just like the clouds an such above me. This person could paint, it truly looked real. Fred say, it's about 200 yards ta the bottom. Me an Pa figure the Grand Junction is close ta 300 foot down. This place is far more, an architectural wonder than, that Institute was. Folks what it took ta build both places, is just wonder ta think abouts.

Fred stopped moved his arms out, like stoppin a crowd a folks. He say, ifin ya look at the walls around us. Ya see paintins of what life must been like. Folks ya see buildins taller than any ya have now. Massive cities lan sakes tower after tower.
Why one paintin had people almost on top each other. They all looked tired, unhappy folks best way ta put it. These thins best way ta describe thum they looked close ta wagons or carriages, but no horses in front a thum, the road looked black with lines on it.

Fred say, not sure what those oddities are, on what me an Pa assumed are roads. Must a been real amazin times ta live. The Grand Junction is only a few yards away, we have one long set steps ta go down. Oh an the steps are wide close ta two feet they are, so watch those first couple till ya get used ta it.

Folks, this Grand Junction, dear why, it was huge! Had ta be at least 300 yards circular the ceilin had ta a been 100 foot tall or better! Place was one huge dome type structure. They was three trench like thins leadin ta the center, that formed like a Y, in the center was circle like thin. That had these long silver thins three of thum ta be exact. Looked a lot like a bullet. Best ways ta put it.

They was chairs, made inta clusters some tables an such scattered about. Little nooks in some the walls with signs above thum. One was Chang's House, another was Greek Isle, Grandma's Pizza.  Not sure what they are, do have pictures of food around these drop down fence deals. Just might be places ta eat, like restaurants maybe.

Where the Y made its split had a statue looked like maybe a soldier, not sure or a Ranger. Those silver thins, my eyes kept goin back ta those. They were facin what I think is front in opposite directions.
