What I Know

Well, what's I know is this, folks, ya see the Ohio Rangers. Wonders never cease work with some a these Keepers, folks they protect the knowledge an some of the thins from the past. Not all the Keepers now, just the ones deemed necessary ta maintain safety. Ya see, after this all got straightened out. That N.O. One, or No One, was locked back up.

Mike told me a few thins more, on that robot thin. Ya know No One. How's ta put this? Ok, well hell, best way ta put it. This robot it gradually a took over. We meaning man, us humans folks. We started ta rely on that No One. It helped us make decisions on matters, that maybe we shouldn't a let it. Like how ta help feed the world, what ta do about this group a people an such.

Folks at first, this No One couldn't move, hell this main link thin, well that was its main brain. Just an Oddity that was stuck in Ohio, at the main Office a Croft Institute. Ya see it wasn't, able ta move just a box that held the thinkin part. Folks I am sorry that was a bit redundant wasn't it.

After a few years, believe Mike say it was, 2040 still not certain how this year thin works. These thins took over, started doin the work of man. Ya know took our jobs.  At first it was, what Mike called the dangerous jobs, ones it made it safer fer us. Then gradually it took all the jobs! Some they didn't keep thum a workin on. Like those that wait tables or a barber or sales clerk. Those jobs, we gots back.

This No One, once it got ta movin on it's own. The main link was, what Mike say extra storage fer his knowledge. The rest were linked ta it, so this No One, could communicate with all the A.I. Least that the way Mike put it. Folks after about ten years, man got tired of it. These machines ran almost everythin, folks we stood up! Fought thum!

Mike say, this didn't last long, these machines led by a few a us. They beat down the revolt, No One got smarter the other machines got smarter. These other places, countries kinda like the 13 Lands. Had they own version of No One, Wars started, these machines controlled these wars.

Mike say millions a people died, from these wars. Folks they'd, stop few years later, why they'd start up again! Mike say, they could shoot from here hit a city, thousands a miles away! finally some how, we managed ta shut thum all down! They wasn't an on, off switch as Mike put it. Ya know kinda like a brake on wagon, ta slow an hold it.

No, we stupid humans, had ta put thum ta sleep like in what, Mike call a big dream. On occasion, that No One, well it a wake up! Mike say normally him an Janet or his Mother befer him, could get it back inta this sleep mode. Mike say, this was the first time, that it managed ta get up an move!

Folks, I was wonderin why we just don't destroy it all! Take some powder blow it up! Of course not, Sam White Hell! Piss an Vinegar! Mike say, they is all this information, we need ta bring us back slowly when the time is right. Why they been releasin some it slowly fer a very long time.

Ya see folks, so much damage was done, our world we call Earth! Why it shook Earth Quakes folks Volcanoes, somethin called Radiation! All took its toll! Our World took ta killin us, she tried ta shake us off! Like a dog a shakin ta get dry after bein in the rain. Mike say, even sickness took a lot a us.

He say, he ain't the best at tellin more, but a few a us left. Ta have some ta start over. Folks this place was kept secret, other ways ta leave were destroyed! Those that didn't go were trapped here! They left thum ta die! Most a us, we did die off folks, look though we did manage. Look we are here ain't we!

Folks, one thin, that did kinda stick in my skin! Why did that part a No One stay tagether? Why not just destroy the robot thin? Folks it seems, that N.O. One, or No One was really smart thin. It kept rewtitin the way it worked! The main link won't work, without No One and it's brain. The brain won't work, without the blame robot. That machine some how keeps the brain working.

I say just fix it ta wear it can't move an get out. Mike say certain parts can't be disconnected with out destroying the system. N.O. One advanced to far, past man's ability ta control it, it controlled us!
