Cherry Blossoms

The Summer went by in a breeze . Cherry wished that she could hold onto it knowing that the next Summer might be different .

She'd spend lots of time with Jacob and her other friends and Sam and her's relationship had bloomed greatly over the days after her birthday .

Yes ,they hadn't kissed and they hadn't gone further than that either , but she'd spend time with him as much as she could whenever she wasn't gallivanting all over La Push with Jacob .

They talked mostly and watched a movie and she helped Emily bake muffins for the guys in the kitchen of the 'pack house' as Sam's house were now called .

Kim sometimes came to help too , but more often than not she was too busy at home with whatever chore her parents had thought up for her .

It was fun hanging out with Sam and the pack , but she sometimes wished that her three besties could join them .

Sam one day promised her that they'd be phasing soon and he told her what signs to look for in them so she would know and not feel sad because they weren't there with her .

Sam was very understanding about her friendship with those three . Even when he was jealous of it .

By the end of Summer Cherry got a call from Elena who told her about everything that happened over the months since their abduction.

It was horrible to hear , but she had to because Klaus knew about her from Stefan who'd been compelled to spill all the beans ,so to speak .

" Will he be coming for me ?", she'd asked the other Döppelganger.

" I'm not sure . I hope not . But you're in danger all the same simply because of being another Döppelganer . Just be vigilant ,please?. "

That answer had been disappointing  . Knowing that a Hybrid might be after her brought a fear to her heart that she'd never felt before .

Now it was her first day of school and she wasn't sure if she wanted to go anymore . If Klaus could go to Elena's school and kill some of her classmates then who's to say he wouldn't come to La Push High and hurt Jacob, or Quil ,or even Embry ?.

She dressed up in black  jeans, a navy blue long sleeve t-shirt ,a black hoody and All Star slip-ons. She wasn't really in the mood to dress up nicely for school , but luckily  Forks' weather never really give one the chance to look less than an Eskimo .

Sam was there to pick her up when she walked outside and that in itself brightened up her day.

" Hey , Baby Girl ", he greeted her when she climbed in beside him into his truck . He'd been calling her all kinds of cheesy  nicknames since her birthday and some of them made her heart flutter everytime she heard them .

Like Baby Girl . It wasn't unique ,but she loved the way he said it . It was by far the best one .

" Hey , Sam ", she said planting a kiss on his cheek .

They weren't at the lip to lip stage yet and Sam wasn't hasty to begin with that . He wanted their relationship to grow like normal relationships did . That meant no rushing into anything .

" Ready for your first day of this school year?".

There it was . The dreaded question and she knew that she couldn't lie to him . He had the right to know about her impending doom .

" No . Not really ", she managed to say after a few heartbeats of silence .

" Why ?", he asked and before she could stop herself she blurted out everything that Elena had said and about what Rose had revealed to her , Stefan, Elena and Damon in Stefan and Damon's house .
