Matthew's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was the day after Jay made a grand gesture and announced his love for me to the whole school. It was so cliche which I hate but the fact he would do that for me and finally face his fears meant the world. At first I was paranoid about the schools reaction but everyone knows I'm gay so I guess no one will have a problem with it. Besides I'm sure if anyone does have a problem Jay will handle it. Sometimes his psychotic short temper is useful. Even though I have nothing to worry about I am still terrified to enter the building. Plus now me and Jay are a thing so how do we act in public? More importantly how am I supposed to tell my parents!? Enough to worry about there but at this point I just needed to get to school. Once I arrived I was greeted by a massive smile and a welcoming wave, it was Jessie.

"Hey Matt, how are you feeling?" She said.

"If I am being honesty I'm absolutely terrified." I was looking around to see if anyone had been staring at me.

"Well no comments or funny looks so far so I guess that's good. Honestly don't even sweat it, as long as you and Jay are happy it's none of anyone's business." She gave me a comforting pat on the shoulder.

"I know, I know. It's just hard because it's my first ever relationship and I feel awkward being open about it." I winced.

"I'm just glad he finally did it after all of this time" she laughed.

"Wait YOU KNEW THE WHOLE TIME. I mean I suspected it but I never knew for sure! Why didn't you tell me?!" I was honestly shocked.

"Well Jay told me and we are best friends so I couldn't break that trust but I did seriously encourage him to stop being an idiot and just tell you." She said.

"I guess that makes sense, especially the whole fake dating thing. I just still can't believe he's my boyfriend and I can actually say it out loud." I giggled

It was nice to openly talk to Jessie about Jay because I really hated not being able to tell her about all of it but I couldn't risk it because of how close her and Jay were. I really don't have a clue how we are going to act because I don't want to embarrass him or it be too much for him since it's all very new. My thoughts were interrupted by someone wrapping their arms around my waist from behind and placing a kiss on my cheek.

"Good morning handsome" Jay smiled.

I suddenly realised it was him and rolled my eyes sarcastically at Jessie before releasing Jays grip and turning around to face him. He was so close that our faces were about an inch apart.

"Good morning to you too, what a pleasant suprise" I kissed his lips briefly. "This is so weird being able to do this in public"

"I mean yes it will take getting used to but I personally love it. Not having to worry about who's watching or listening is amazing." Jay was beaming down at me.

"Ok so I'm going to leave you two love birds, so glad you two are finally doing this by the way. Love you both and see you dumbasses later." Jessie walked away whilst shooting us finger guns and winking.

I laughed and blew a kiss at Jessie. As I was about to turn to face Jay again I felt a tug on my shirt. He had dragged me into the janitors closest and locked the door.

"I mean we may be a couple but I'm sure everyone doesn't want to see us making out in public, we have got to leave something to the imagination." He winked at me before pulling me in for a kiss.

Jay's POV

The bell rang so I walked Matthew to his final class. It has been all week and not a single person has made a bad comment about our relationship. A lot of people just sort of said the whole assembly thing was cute. There was A LOT of questions coming from Devin and Lola but I guess they just wanted to gossip. I may say that although there is a lot of perks of having a boyfriend, the fact he won't let me show him my magic tricks is just plain rude. It was all new and strange but at the same time kind of amazing. I was really glad that all of our friends have been supportive and that no one has told our parents. I mean they are the worst and if they ever found out I wouldn't even want to know the outcome. I spent my entire lesson doodling on the table. If I'm being honest I'm not even sure what class I was in but hey at the end of the day it's all school right. I waited for Jessie to pack her stuff up before we walked out the classroom. Once we had left we were greeted by a massive crowd and Nick who was hoisted up on Andrews shoulders so that everyone could see him.

"Listen up everyone, my house is free all weekend since my parents and siblings are out of town looking at colleges. So party tonight starting at 8:00 and going on till whenever the fuck we like! Bring alcohol and a date because things are going to get wild!" Nick was shouting for everyone in our grade to hear.

"Hmm a party sounds fun doesn't it?" Jessie asked.

"Yes I am always down for a party. PARTY WOLF! AWOOOO" I started howling and everyone joined in.

It was 7:30 and Jessie and I decided to get ready at her house. She was putting on makeup, a nice outfit and curling her hair. It sucks that girls always have to put in effort for a party. I mean I just put on a cool outfit, brushed my hair and I'm done. Whilst I was waiting for her I decided to go downstairs and try and steal some alcohol. Jessie didn't mind because her exact words were 'Shannon thought that I wasn't cutting up an apple correctly earlier, whatever that's supposed to mean. So fucking take whatever drinks you'd like from her.' I will never wrap my head around why Jessie hates her mum so much I mean I would kill to have a mum that actually cared about me. I know she gets on her nerves but I still feel like Jessie is unfair with her at times. Not that I would ever tell her that. I managed to steal some Brandy from Jessie's mum plus the whole bottle of vodka I pried from my unconscious mums hands earlier. It was now 8:15 and we were pretty much ready to go. We were meeting everyone there so me and Jessie walked by ourselves. Lucky the walk wasn't too far because it was dark out and we were already running late.

"Ok make sure that you don't get too drunk tonight and go all 'party wolf' because I think that might scare Matthew a little bit." Jessie playfully punched me in the ribs.

The punch hurt a bit but I have gotten good at pretending I'm not in pain. It wouldn't of hurt if she had done it to anyone else it's just because I have bruises still left all over my chest from Kurt and Val.

"I meant I can't make any promises but I'll try" I said winking at her.

"Well try very hard because last time you were drunk we kissed" Jessie said.

"Not my fault you can't keep your hand off of all this sexy!" I gestured towards my body before making a muscle with my arms.

"Ok ok hot stuff you need to chill because we are here" Jessie laughed.

We walked into Nicks house which was full of people. There was music blasting and some disco lights in the living room where people were dancing. I caught a glimpse of some beer pong and drinking competitions which looked like fun. Matthew was sat next to Andrew explaining something to him, I'm not sure what but Andrew looked both confused and relieved. Me and Jessie started to make our way over to Matthew when we were stopped.
