The weekend long party part 2

Matthews pov

We made our way over to the two boys. Jay was talking about his new magic tricks and Aidan was soaking it all up in amusement. He seemed really interested in what Jay was saying. Probably all the alcohol.

"Hey Matthew did you see all of that!" Jay smiled in excitement.

"Yes I did, how the hell did you drink that much?" I questioned.

"A great magician never reveals his secrets" Jay grinned followed by a wink.

"Walk this way quickly." My eyes turned in confusion.

Jay tilted his head and gave me a funny look but continued to walk towards me normally. Well normal for Jay. I couldn't believe it after all of that he wasn't even that drunk. I grabbed the bottle out of his hands and sniffed it. My head was taken back at the battery acid like smell. It was definitely pure vodka.

"Everything ok there?" Jay was completely lost.

"I'm so confused how you aren't even that drunk after drinking that much vodka? I mean that amount should of been able to kill you. Have you seen Nick? He's out of his mind and only had 2 cotton candy brandies!" I was in awe.

"It's ok I can just hold my drink really well that's all, don't worry about it it's not that deep." He said patting me on the back. "I just met your friend Aidan and he seems... nice"

We continued to talk as a group for a little bit but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Someone of his age should not be able to consume alcohol by the litre. It wasn't long before Jay excused himself to go and grab something. Jessie rolled her eyes and I gave her a 'what was that' look.

"He's brought some brandy too. He's probably going to get it now. Don't worry though he will be fine, same old Jay just drunk that's all." She said to me.

"Shouldn't we intervene or something?" I said.

"He won't stop till he is drunk enough so there is no point, it's just a fight that's not worth it." She shrugged seeming unbothered by it all.

Jays pov

I was chuffing around in Nicks room in search for the brandy I had placed in here earlier. Once I had found it I took a sip and set off for the living room. During the journey I contemplated why Matthew was so shocked. He's been to these parties before and it's not like he doesn't know I drink. Maybe he's not payed enough attention till now. He's probably amazed by my awesome drinking skills. My thoughts were once again interrupted by Nick. The small boy grabbed my shoulder and pulled me close.

"Jayyyy the...." Nick paused to think. "GAY. Ha omg Jay the gay!" He was in hysterics.

"Not my favourite nick name but I'll give it to you... little dick Nick." I winked at him.

Obviously the nickname didn't impress me and it actually bothered me a little but I was glad someone cared enough to call me a nickname. I've never had one before. Usually you just shorten down someone's name but 'Jay' and 'J' are pronounced the same so there really was no point.

"Dude this party is off the hook! Thanks so you man you really got everyone going. Look at all the dancing and laughter it's so much fun. Everyone will talk about this party for weeks. They will all say wow Nick is so amazing for throwing this awesome party. Plus there's a whole day tomorrow too!" Nick was slurring but I understood what he was saying.

"Nice little monologue there Nicky. This is a great party and thanks for inviting me." I grinned knowing I called him by the nickname his mother Diane gave him. God I love Diane and wish she was my mother.
