I fell asleep with a smile. I know I had a hard day of finals and misfortunes, but I'm getting married! Well. One step closer to that day.
Although, the excitement really hit our little lady because she could not stop jabbing my ribs. I kept moving around in bed until she could calm down and Shaun tried everything. But she was too excited. So Shaun and I understood. Despite of our exhaustion, we played around with my belly. Shaun would use two fingers and walk all over my rocking belly. I could have sworn that we stayed up like this up to twelve at night.
After that, I was able to sleep for about an hour or so until I woke up with a groan from leg cramps. Shaun quickly got up thinking that something was wrong with me as I groaned in pain. Then I finally said that it was cramps and he helped me out with them. He stretched out my foot and I sighed with relief as the pain slowly disappeared.
Shaun then went into his restroom and took out this cream for muscle relief and gently put it all over my swollen legs. I giggled at the way he'd raise up my legs so he can rub at them. I would playfully move my toes so it hits his nose and he would say, "Oh no! The smell!" I would laugh and continue poking his nose with my toes. We probably stayed doing this from up to two in the morning. Of course Hazel woke up and made our night impossible, but we were still able to get in some sleep.
The next morning, I got up quickly to eat breakfast with Shaun and get ready for church. Since the first weekend I stayed with Shaun, I've actually liked attending. Everyone is so nice and sweet. Some ladies have rubbed at my belly and I would giggle as my little lady would respond to their sweet words. Now that my belly is bigger, there's times I have to sit down for a little while so I can recover strength in my legs. Another thing is the way my stomach rocks and twitches with the strong movements she does along with the music. I find comfort in this small temple as I started taking notes of the sermon, too. We even saw Kitty there and we greeted her at the end.
After church, Shaun decided that we should go sleep. I laughed with him knowing that he has fallen in too deep to my bad influence. Yet, I stilled agreed and we slept warmly under the blankets. I woke up earlier than Shaun at the strong jabs in my ribs, but I still closed my eyes just to rest my tired muscles from carrying a baby all day. Then I felt a small tickling feeling under my knee and I giggled. Shaun slowly moved his lips on my neck and up my cheeks as he moved his fingers under my knee. "Stop that," I whispered to him and he continued tickling me. In the end, we were furiously trying to see who had the last tickle under the blankets.
While we were under the blankets, Shaun rubbed my belly and playfully pressed on it so she can move around. She quickly responded back to his voice and played with him; making my belly morph and shake happily. Then Shaun looked up at me and said, "I've realized something."
"Congrats," I say teasingly. Shaun raised his eyebrows at me and then smirked as his fingers found my knee. I started giggling and I quickly surrendered. "Yeah," he said. "That's what I thought." I continued giggling as he said, "I realized that my apartment looks like the Grinch lives here."
"Maybe he does," I say with a giggle. Shaun raised up an eyebrow and wiggled his fingers on my belly. My eyes grew wide at this and I quickly said, "Okay! I'll stop!"
Shaun chuckled warmly and said, "Can you help me decorate the place?"
"I thought you'd never ask," I say as I abruptly take off the blanket from on top of us and Shaun yelled. "Oh! It's cold!" I laughed along with his joke and got into warm clothes to go to the store.
We spent most of the day doing this and mid way through our decorations, I looked at my phone and found it surprising that my sisters have not texted. They usually ask about my night or if I ate. Now, the group chat was empty. So I shoot in a text saying: Ladies. I just wanted to let you guys know that me and the baby are alive. Don't worry too much!
