(this wasn't requested by anyone, it's just an idea I got this morning :)

genre - modern au, fluff/angst

(y/n) was contently reading a book when she remembered something important. She put her bookmark on her page and quietly went downstairs, trying not to wake up her siblings. She crept inside the living room, trying to memorize the faces and places she loved.

This is my last night here. Before I'll have to go home. she thought. (y/n) was a reality shifter, and her time was nearing towards the end.

She closed her eyes in sadness.

Tonight, I'll leave tonight. When it's midnight, I'll forget. she thought. I specifically wrote in my script to forget about the realities I go to, so I won't feel sad in my own world.

She decided on that and quickly put on her (f/c) hoodie and some black leggings. She wrote a note that she taped to her door, which said farewell.

The stars are bright, tonight, she thought as she gazed out at the night. The stars twinkled.

(y/n) looked at the ground while she walking, looking at her shoes.

Goodbye, Gracefield, goodbye Emma, goodbye, Norman, and goodbye-

She didn't know where she was going, until she felt a thump, hitting her head.

When did they put a pole here? she thought. (y/n) looked up and it was not a pole, but a person. One she knew. He wore a black jacket with white stripes on the arms, and black jeans, hands shoved in pockets, with whitish-gray sneakers.

                                                                   (Kinda like the picture above)

"Oh hi, Ray," she said, waving at him. "Sorry I bumped into you like that." She looked at the ground apologetically, while mentally crying on the inside. He waved off her apology and shook his head. "It's fine. But why are you out here so late?"

(y/n) looked back up at him. "I could say the same about you. But I'm getting snacks at the convenience store." She lied.

"I see. I was just getting fresh air," he replied, rubbing his neck.

"At like, 11:30 pm?" she inquired, laughing a little. Ray narrowed his eyes.

"Whatever. I like what I like. So you're going to the convenience store right?" he asked, changing the subject.

"Um yeah, why? I already told you I'm getting snacks," (y/n) said suddenly cautious. She peered at him, trying to figure out what he's about to say.

"Well, girls shouldn't be walking around alone this late. It's dangerous," he said matter-of-factly. (y/n) relaxed.

"Oh, right. Should've thought about that beforehand," she answered. "So we're just gonna go walk there together?" she asked, already walking. It was about four blocks away.
