(Another idea that came from my always-creating, scenario-making, brain of mine. This will be a short, fluffy one-shot.)
Genre-fluff
Here you and Ray have been dating for about six months, but recently you have been getting nightmares frequently, so you get insomnia often.
(Author's pov)
"Ray! Ray!" you whisper-scream. You were currently, or trying to sleep next to Ray, but your night terrors keep preventing it. Your nightmares started occurring last month, and they always varied each time. You would always wake up in a cold sweat, or hyper-ventilating. Ray would have to comfort you in the middle of the night, which sometimes made you feel guilty.
His back was facing you, so you tapped on his shoulder a little before you felt him shift. You heard him breathe.
"I'm awake, (y/n), did you get another nightmare?" he murmured sleepily. He faced you, slightly removing the blanket off him.
You shake your head. "No, it's just that I don't think I can sleep knowing I'll probably get a nightmare again," you answered. His eyes softened, and he smiled a little. You were a little bit surprised at his reaction.
"Alright, come here," he said, gesturing towards himself. You obeyed and shuffled a little to where he was, five inches between you two. Ray proceeded to wrap his arms around you, letting you snuggle your face into his chest. You sighed.

You felt his chin lightly touch the top of your head as he softly combed his fingers through your (h/l) (h/c) hair. You turned red once you felt Ray whisper sweet words in your ear. You relaxed a little before a request entered your mind.
"Hey, Ray?" You ask. "Can you sing?" You gazed at him expectantly, while concern and amusement filled his eyes. A slight smirk appeared on his face as well.
"And why would you want that, love?" he said softly. You scrunched up your nose before responded.
"Because I hear you hum all the time, so I thought that maybe you could sing as well," you replied. He chuckled.
"Fine, okay," Ray agreed. He took a deep breath before obliging you with your request.
You are my sunshine,
You were surprised when you heard his melodic, faint voice. It sounded like an angel was singing you to sleep.
My only sunshine,
You moderately adjusted a bit so you can hear his heartbeat.
You make me happy when skies are gray
You heard a low rumble outside, and you then realized there was a rainstorm. From your view in the window, lightning flashed in the sky.
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Those words, for some reason, brought tears to your eyes. You blinked them away as you let Ray continue his song.
Please don't take my sunshine away
You felt yourself drift away in a deep, calm sleep. You smiled contently.
However, you didn't feel Ray kiss your forehead before whispering some final words into your ear:
