Suspect..s???

Samantha's POV

"What?! Are you sure about that?"tanong ko kay Detective Lee. Nandito kami ngayon sa isang spanish restaurant in town. But, is he really sure about that??? I know she's mad at me but it didn't even crossed my mind that she can do that!

Tumango naman siya."Siya ang lead suspect ko. And... she has all the intentions."he confidently said.

I sighed in frustation."I don't really know what intentions are you talking about. Besides, you don't have any proof. I can't barely depend on that CCTV footage. It's just so... I mean, yes. She lied where she really is that time, but... I don't know. It's just that... I need a proof."I don't really know what to say. Naguguluhan na ko. Why would she do that??? I guess she can't do that... Maybe she has the intentions, but damn! It's not even worth that thing to kill my... parents. It's just so subtle! But anyway, we don't have a proof yet. And I just can't believe she could possibly do that just because of her own d*mn reason.

Hindi naman siguro pwedeng pag-basehan ang sinabi niyang nasa loob lamang siya ng unit niya ng mangyari ang mga 'yon at bago pa lang ang lahat, kahit na sinasabing lumanas din siya kaagad ng unit niya at dis-oras na ng gabi nang umuwi. Malay ko ba baka mamaya naman gumimik lang siya. But... why would she lied anyways? Bakit di niya na lang sinabi na wala talaga siya sa unit niya nung gabing 'yon?Why would she need to do that? Why would she need to lie?

"May galit siya sayo, Sam. Maybe she was blinded by her emotions and insecurities to you."sabi pa niya.

"But why would she be insecure?! She's beautiful! She's rich! She..."hindi ko na napigilan pa ang sarili ko. But why am I like this? Bakit ako nasasaktan sa isiping iyon?

"She..., what?"mahinahon niyang tanong sakin. He looked at my eyes and I can't help but to look away.

"She... have him."mahinang sabi ko na halos pabulong na lang.

"And your hurt?"he grinned. Ugh! Nakakainis siya!

"Of course I am not!"depensa ko. Bakit naman ako... masasaktan? E manhid na manhid na ko. O... ayoko lang pansinin at pilit na inaalis ang pakiramdam ko??? Aish!

"Oh. Don't be so frustated."mukhang napansin niya ang pagbabago ng ekspresyon sa mukha ko habang nag-iisip."Anyways, yes, you're right."napatingala naman ako mula sa pagkakayuko at tumingin sa kanya. Nagsalubong ang mga mata namin. At mukhang napansin din niya ang malaking question mark sa mata ko.

He smiled. A true one..."Yes, she's beautiful... but you're gorgeous. Yes, she's rich... but you're, too. And yes, she have him... but damn! You're blind!"he said it like I'm stupid enough to not know it. But...

"I know I'm gorgeous. And yes I'm rich, too. But I don't get the last one. And hey! You cursed!"sabi ko at sinimangutan pa siya.

He looked at me with an amused expression."Stupid. Just open your eyes. Or... kung ayaw mo naman... just feel it. Kasi ako damang-dama ko. Ewan ko lang kung bakit ikaw, hindi mo pa din maramdaman. He's being jelous over me. He cares for you not just as normal but special. He's being possesive over you. Now, tell me. Don't he loves you? Is he not inlove with you?"he sarcastically said.

Eh? I don't get it, you know. Yung mga sinasabi niya, he's not. Swear! I can't even feel any one of what he just said.

"Ewan ko sayo."I picked my bag up and stand up the chair.

"Oh. I'll just remind you, Samantha Louise. Don't trust to anyone."he said seriously but I can feel the concern in his voice. But also, there is something in it... it's like he don't want to say it like that... it's like he's covering himself up with a thick mask... just what he thought it is... but actually, it's just a very thin mask he wore. 'Cause right now, a part of it just unleashed. But he's a lucky bastard. I can't read him right now. Saka na kapag mind-reader na ko. Hehe, peace!

"You're right. That's why I don't trust you. Just do your job and give me proof 'cause I can't believe what you're insisting here."I truthfully said.

Hindi ko na hinintay ang sagot niya at lumakad na pero narinig ko pa ang sinabi niya,"Maybe I don't have a proof now. But believe me... ready yourself to that bitch, Alicia James..."

Hindi ko na pinansin 'yon. But hearing his conclussion, I'm having a second thought about her now. And yes, his main suspect is Ms. Alicia James, the MIGHTY GIRLFRIEND of my RESPECTIVE HUSBAND.

"F*ck! And why the hell he would do that?!"napasigaw ako sa nalaman kong impormasyon.

"Calm down, pre. He's just a suspect."sabi ni Dom.

"Our only suspect."Matt said sarcastically. I guess his on my side.

Una pa lang, hindi na maganda ang kutob ko sa lalaking 'yan.

"He loves Samantha, that's obvious."sabi naman ni Aiden. Minsan lang yan magsalita pero malalaman ang mga sinasabi niya."si Sam lang yata ang hindi nakakapansin na gustong-gusto siya nito."dagdag pa niya. Napatingin kaming lahat sa kanya.

"And what are you implying here? That he can't do that to Sam's parents because he loves her?"confused na tanong ko.

"No..."Aiden smiled meaningfully."He has all the intentions. Sam's parents is the root of all her sufferings... and also his."I don't get the idea of this man. Remind me later that he's my friend, okay?

"Aiden naman! Umiiral na naman yung matatalinghaga mong salita e! Diretsuhin mo  na lang kami! Ang hirap kayang intindihin yung mga sinasabi mo."protesta ni Dom.

"Oo nga!"gatong ni Mat.

And me, hindi na ko nagsalita pa at pinag-isipan na lang ang sinasabi niya. Kung ano ang ibig sabihin niya...

At imbis na patulan ang sinabi ng dalawang mokong ay... he looked at me with a serious expression.

"Ano na? Uwian na ba?"inip na inis na tanong ni Dom.

"Let's go."sabi naman ni Aiden at tumayo na.

"Pre, ikaw na magbayad. haha."at umalis na nga sila sa coffee shop.

Naiwan naman akong napapaisip...

Could he possibly mean that... he's mad at Sam's parents because they decide to get their daughter married to me just because of business? And that, hindi lahat mararanasan ni Sam ang masaktan nang dahil sakin kung 

hindi kami pinakasal? If that's what Aiden means by 'Sam's parents is the root of all her sufferings... and also his...

Then... what is he trying to tell me with that 'be safe'-look niya? That... he might also kill 

me, ganun ba?

Ha! Then... hinding-hindi mo magagawa sakin yan... Jake Santiago. Never in your wildest dreams. At paghahandaan ko ang paghaharap natin. Soon... just wait.
